History: The Issūi clan (Issūi Ichizoku; Literally meaning "Issūi family") was one of the oldest and most powerful clans in Amegakure. All members born into the family possess the Obierugan, a kekkei genkai that allows them to see chakra and gives them the ability to manipulate it. Some time ago, the country was in the midst of a civil war. In this war, different sides battled each other using ninja, some of whom possessed kekkei genkai. After the war ended, memories of the horrific battles still lingered in the minds of the people, causing wide-spread persecutions against those with kekkei genkai. Once the most powerful of clans within the Hidden Rain, they were the first to be slaughtered during this time.

Special Info: Issūi has two meaning for the word. While being very different, both meanings are shown through their abilities. The first meaning is "a nap" or "a short sleep", referring to the mastery in genjutsu that they possess. The second meaning refers to their elemental affinity; "a current (of water)" or "a drop".

With water as their main element, they utilize a specific type known as Ameton or Rain Jutsu. Along with this, each member possesses the Obierugan which allows them to manipulate their own chakra to produce illusions within the minds of their enemies. But the most unique traits can be found within their own mind.

Congenital Analgesia - Congenital insensitivity to pain (CIP), also known as congenital analg, congenital analgesia and congenital pain insensitivity, is one or more rare conditions where a person cannot feel (and has never felt) physical pain. Their bodies do not possess pain receptors or even the ability to create or feel emotion; it does not exist. Due to this, they often seem cold and heartless.

Eidetic Memory - The Issui possesses a unique ability to retain and recall all images, sounds, and objects in memory with extreme accuracy. Known as Photographic Memory, it is a useful trait that can even be used to accurately predict the movements of an enemy by use of muscle contraction.

Attentive Hearing - Also known as Selective Hearing, the Issui possess the ability to focus on specific sounds while blocking out all the others, allowing for complete concentration. used mainly for tracking and finding a hidden enemy, they can focus on the sound of people breathing. During this, they will be unable to hear anything other than what they want. In an essence, this is done by manipulating the eardrum to only vibrate when specific frequencies, only matching that sound, can be heard.

Description: The user is able to create multiple invisible threads that he can manipulate to bind a person to the ground. They can also be used for attacks or as a defensive method against any attack. While they cannot be seen except through reflective surfaces, the threads are also indestructible and cannot be broken.
Weakness: While powerful, these threads can only be manifested through a reflection of reflective surfaces such as a building's windows or clear water, where they can be seen. If the image is distorted, the threads will disperse.

Description: This genjutsu envelops the surrounding area in a dense fog, reducing visibility within the affected area. The density can be controlled by the user, allowing them to create a fog so thick that even they can't see through it. However, as a genjutsu, only those targeted will be able to see the fog, allowing the caster to still be able to see.
Weakness: Almost exactly like the Hidden Mist technique, this however, requires more chakra.

Description: This jutsu envelops the surrounding area in a harsh rain, reducing visibility within the affected area. While producing water various jutsu, the rain casts a genjutsu on anyone the user wishes that is within it. The genjutsu creates an illusion that hides the exact location of the caster by creating a clone that looks and feel real. Because every rain drop has the genjutsu within it, the genjutsu cannot be dispelled until the target(s) remove themselves from the rain.
Due to the rain being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan-user will see the rain colored by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dōjutsu.
Weakness: Those with abilities like the Sharingan, that can see through illusions, will still be able to see the user of the jutsu.

Description: After making the needed handseals, an Issui is able to create an illusion in which "clone(s)" of the user separate either from himself or an already made "clone(s)". The most effective way to utilize this technique is in close combat. When the user goes to attack, one or more "clones" will appear from their body, making it impossible to tell which is the real one. As such, it reminds many people of a river's fork in which a single stream separates into two directions.
Weakness: No damage done by the "clone(s)" is real.
