Makeshi, Suzu. [Complete]
Name: Makeshi, Suzu.
Nickname/Alias: N/A.
Age: 13.
Age Appearance: 13.
Appearance:
Thick, rich locks of dark black fall to her lower back, the colour of it exact to the midnight sky. The darkness of her hair suits her pale skin, despite her many hours of days spent outdoors, daydreaming. Her eyes, which are usually shut, rarely see the sun, but when opened, two orbs of dark brown reveal themselves, seemingly lighter in the daytime. Suzu stands at an average height of 5'1", but is considered rather short among her fellow shinobi. A first glance may direct the viewer to think of her physical stability as delicate and fragile, due to her small figure.
Not a single flaw exists on her soft skin; no scars, or distinguishing marks. However, Suzu has a small tattoo on the back of her left hand, in the shape of a crescent moon. When confronted about it, she brushes it off and tries not to make a fuss about it, but the real meaning of the symbol is unknown to all, except for Suzu. Some say it symbolizes her love for the evening, as she is seen countless times, alone around at night.
So, rather than letting them go to waste, Suzu often wears revealing clothes, letting the public marvel at her perfect complexion. Perhaps too much, as her v-neckline shirt [if it could be called a shirt in the first place] goes down as far as to reveal her complete cleavage, but stopping before revealing anything more. Her bottoms have the same characteristics, best described as belts, rather than legit shorts. Her professional clothes are very similar to her casual attire, as she believes that criminals, all alike, can easily be persuaded, thus, easily seduced. There have been many controversies regarding her unprofessional appearance, but her theory has been proven to be extremely effective, so the council argues no more.
Gender: Female.
Rank: D.
Ninja Rank: Genin.
Village: Konohagakure No Sato.
Birthplace: Kirigakure No Sato.
Previous Village: Konohagakure No Sato.
Clan/Bloodline: N/A.
Personality:
Despite her angelic appearance, Suzu possesses an inner emotional demon, whose personalities fluctuate between hormonal and aggressive. Her aggressive nature reveals itself when she is disagreed with, or when she isn't satisfied, and she shows it rather frequently, especially to persons of authority because of her personal prejudices towards them. But seldom does she show anger or fury towards the males, as the more flirtatious side comes out to play in those scenarios.
Along with her sexually unrestrained nature, Suzu is unable to stay away from troubled affairs. No one really has been able to, or has tried, to cure her of her immature and intolerable attitude, but most have given up. Regardless, she shows kindness and compassion towards the outcasts in society, most importantly to the misunderstood, as they remind her of herself.
Suzu refuses to accept help from others and never admits to being the one at fault, even if her disposition is guilty. Her arrogance and disagreeable personality limits deep thinking, so she's well known with going with her gut feelings, or "winging" it. It has proven to work out well in combat, as she also puts her personal prejudices and vanities aside when assigned to a task. So, despite her troubled nature, her skills are high enough to tolerate.
Goals:
- To get a good sensei.
Alignment: Good.

History:
The pitter patter of Suzu's footsteps were evident during the few years after she had been born. Living on the outskirts of Kirigakure and exposed to her surrounding waters, she had grown fond of the outside world and as she spent most of her time outdoors, her body had quickly adjusted to the cold temperature, despite it being young.
Suzu's birth was quite unusual, mostly for her mother. Two hours before labour, she was kidnapped by an employee of a vengeful ex-mother-in-law. The man who took her from her home had tied her hands to the rails of the closed-down grocery store's basement entrance. In labour, her cries of help were futile, as the building had been avoided by many. It took 3 hours for the officials to locate and find her mother. Were it not for the sloppy evidences and an efficient lead, she, and Suzu, could never have seen the daylight.
Her mother never thought of explaining the current status of who exactly Suzu's father was. A mix between the fact that she herself, was unsure of who it was, and her tendency to avoid the subject had prevented her from informing Suzu of the truth. As far as Suzu knew, daddy had died while protecting his country.
Working part-time at a slow marketplace, her mother was barely making enough to support herself, let alone another human being. When the market went bankrupt, she filed Suzu into an orphanage. She explained to her daughter that it was just a fun trip where she'll stay overnight for a couple of days. Oblivious and innocent, Suzu trusted her for two months. When she realized that her mother wasn't coming to pick her up, the effects of her emotions were harsh. However, used to this behavior, the employees of the orphanage were able to bring Suzu back to her usual self.
A trusted man from the outskirts of Kiri had funded the Ninja Academy of Kiri for years up to this day. But due to the country's unusual way of teaching and developing the skills of the Academy Students, not much cash went into the Academy. Totally ignorant of this, the funder still does not know that most of the cash goes into the Academy teachers' pockets.
All orphans had the option of attending the Academy. The orphanage employees usually forced the children into attending, but Suzu did not need any special persuasion or lectures to "go to school."
Bookwork and notes weren't Suzu's forte, and nor was it one of her preferred way of learning. To her, she thought the Academy was a school that only taught physical education. Outside, whether it be running or throwing kunais had always been the highlight of Suzu's day. It took her mind off her current orphan-state, but back in the classroom, all her thoughts focused on that subject. The more she thought why her mother had left her with other miserable kids, the more she neglected her.
As she focused less and less on her mother, Suzu was able to direct her attention to her training. She had grown to be a slow-smiling individual, only speaking when asked to. Rarely did she act out, and all her emotions were bottled up in her body. The theory she had heard about bottled emotions coming back and blowing up in your face was bizarre and inaccurate to her. Nothing unfortunate or miserable had happened to her during the duration of time when she had kept her emotions to herself.
Exams neared and nearly all were devoting themselves to perfect their clones, while Suzu stood at the sidelines, wondering what difference it'd make. It's just a simple test, she thought, over and over, not knowing the opportunities this exam would open for her. Nevertheless, she went along with the flow and started to increase her training time.
A week before her scheduled exam date, Suzu had been put up for adoption by the orphanage. Usually, they weren't too keen on letting the orphans go, considering the small population of Kiri and the lack of adoptive parents, but at this time of year, orphans began pouring into the house, and some had to be let go. To their hopes, a couple called from Konoha, asking to meet their future adoptive child. The exam was then rescheduled.
Being in the orphanage, Suzu grew less and less ignorant of these things. She learned the basics of how the orphanage worked, and its key events and informations. Such as the rare occasion of adoptive parents showing up. All orphans considered an honour to be taken away to a real home, but Suzu had grown to the orphanage. She was ambivalent, but to her surprise, it was clear that these folks had a way of luring her in. They were quick paced with a hint of impatience, but above all, it seemed the couple already knew enough about Suzu to take her in. Things she'd never revealed to anyone, but her mother.
Things at her new home at the heart of Konoha didn't seem to change. Her adoptive parents' efforts into spending more time with her subsided after the two days she'd spent with them, as Suzu informed them of her exam. As she told them and stressed the importance of the event, it grew more and more evident to her. It was no longer "just a test."
Her performance was nothing short of impressive. Although she wasn't at the top of her class, teachers all agreed that the training had paid off. Because of Suzu's hatred towards the mandatory book work, some teachers doubted her potential, but it was always that one person who threw off the counting. Genin life was just around the corner.

- The concrete stone building stood adjacent to the neatly aligned townhouses. The summers in Kiri weren’t anything special, and the sun that rose in the morning was always gone shortly after noon. The feint rays of light peered out of random windows of the townhouses, and the sunlight hit the concrete building, illuminating the glass door. The sun had a way of making Kiri appear somewhat beautiful, despite it being nothing of the sort.
Suzu enjoyed the view from her apartment. It seemed that the floor she chose was worth the extra money, seeing as the large window had access to a wide range of places; the orphanage, marketplace and even the desolate graveyard. Though she was nothing close to a stalker, Suzu enjoyed watching the village citizens socializing about outdoors. Many didn’t leave their homes due to various different reasons, and she could only suspect laziness, or even fear. Maybe I am a stalker.
Checking the calendar for the third time, she knew that today wasn’t a day when she could lounge around the house, doing absolutely nothing. Rarely did she get any days off from the hospital, but this week, they were putting more medics in training, and they preferred for the trainees to experience the work hands on. Literally. She couldn’t complain; a nice break from work was needed, and seeing as today was the day, she couldn’t have asked for a better time for the young medics to come rolling in.
Her “getting ready” routine consisted of many things; all of which took mass amounts of time. Awake at 8am, Suzu was out the door by 11. Locking the door and descending down the stairs, she saw that the sun was threatening to set early. Sighing, she picked up her pace and headed towards the marketplace.
Townhouse children were out on the streets, playing with whatever they could find. Few weeks ago, when she had seen the kids invent a game using a few metres of rope and newspapers, Suzu had to admit that the children of Kiri were extremely creative. Even with so little, they were able to enjoy themselves. It seemed the adults had a lot to learn from these kids. Few were out, supervising the game, and the others were either enjoying the nice weather or in the marketplace.
Her usual route to the marketplace was an unusual one which took a good ten more minutes than the original one everyone used. She’d turn at the second crossroad, instead of heading straight for the main street. Then she’d walk all the way around the almshouses – all thirteen of them – and finally reach the grocery store by the tea shop. Suzu had been a resident of Kiri long enough to know that the main street was always swarming with homeless villagers of all ages. Though she was fully capable of defending herself from frail citizens, the pain had always been her one weakness. Sometimes, she felt guilty for avoiding them, or not offering spare change. But it wasn’t enough to persuade her to use the main route. And even with the descending sun, Suzu would forever choose the long way over time.
She walked past the tea shop and the corner store and reached the isolated stone building. It was the last store on the street and looked nothing like the rest in the marketplace. First of all, it was splattered with rusting metal, and the building stood slanted because of the shift in the height level of the sidewalk. It looked like it was about to tumble over at the weight of the concrete, but it never did. The blacksmith’s shop had been standing still for a good seventeen years.
Everyone knew that the people who purchased at the blacksmith’s were either very wealthy or highly respected shinobi. The average Kiri man couldn’t afford to buy even the simplest weapons from the blacksmith, so most of Kiri went defenseless. Suzu wouldn’t be categorized as a wealthy person, or even as a respected kunoichi, but she was familiar with the blacksmith, and this was her fourth year visiting the man. Despite the annual visits, the two were very familiar with each other.
Stepping inside the dimly lit room, she was surprised to see that someone else was making a purchase.

- Spoiler:
- As he turned to face her, Tatiana was greeted with his familiar face and those significant features she’d once forgotten. Her mouth was slightly open and her breaths came out as heavy sighs. From her poor memory, Traca looked the same, but it seemed his ranking had been changed as she was officially standing before the Cero Espada. Then it had dawned on her that he had still no knowledge of her name.
The quick shifting of his facial expressions was enough for Tatiana to slightly flinch and tighten her grasp around the child in her arms. It wasn’t the expression she had hoped for, but considering she was still somewhat of a stranger to him, she figured showing up at his door with a child would cause some sort of a confused look. It would probably draw the same questions of the child in his mind that Tatiana had, such as his questionable luck in staying alive in this world. It would be problematic if he decided to throw at her the necessary questions, such as his name, his age, and anything else a future guardian would need to know.
She had no answers for the Espada, and could only hope that wouldn’t have an effect on his choice to accept her request or not. “I found him, just outside of these walls, wandering alone, not too long ago,” Tatiana began, taking a deep sigh to calm herself. “I don’t know how long he’d been crawling, or where he came from. He didn’t look like he was hurt, or in pain, but I’ve never seen him around these parts; I’ve never even seen a child here.” She explained, giving him all the necessary details.
“It was dark, and he was slowly crawling his way up to me and I don’t know, I felt like I had to be responsible for his safety, because you and I both know that he’s in danger if we let him wander alone. Especially in this world. I don’t know how long he’s been here, but luck can’t guide him away from danger forever.” She cast him a stern look, trying to portray the confidence which had left her as soon as she walked into the room. “I’ve decided that I will take him in as mine, as my responsibility, as my child..” She didn’t know what was more shocking; the fact that the last word she lingered upon had suddenly came out of her lips without her command, or the fact that it felt so right.
“He doesn’t have a name, and I don’t even know his age. But none of that really matters now; all I care about is protecting this child from any danger. However, I don’t want to go against my pacifist ways and draw my weapon in order to save this child from being killed. As his caregiver, I just want to make sure that he’ll be safe, but I realize that it’ll be impossible for me to take care of him without fighting.” Tatiana looked down to the floor, trying to fit the words as perfect as possible for the next sentence. Her eyes rose from the ground to face Traca. “I need your help to protect this child.”
She took a pause, waiting for some abrupt movement, or loud laughter, or plain rejection. However, she received none. “I don’t intend to fight but I’m determined to look after this child. But without someone guaranteeing my safety, the child’s safety is at risk as well. So to be more accurate, I guess I’m asking for you to protect me, in order for me to protect the child.”
“Because we both know he’s not going to make it alone in this world..”
