Appearance: Kiken stands about 5'5" and has coal black hair. Even though his eyes are frequently covered up, he has a very fiery blue color to them. Clothing wise, he wears a simple black shirt with a jacket over the top. The jacket is what makes him stand out. The body of it is bright orange, with a black leather running along the bottom of it about halfway up where it shifts to a different fabric. The shoulderpads and arms have red on them, with the shoulders being completely red and two stripes running down each arm to the leather cuffs on the jacket. All about the jacket there are various pockets for storage, making it a bit more practical.

Since the jacket is very vibrant, Kiken wears a very simple straight cut pant in a black color. Another notable feature of Kiken is his goggles. Sleek and darkly tinted, they completely cover his eyes when he is fighting and his eyes are not visible to an opponent. The elastic strap that holds them onto his head is pitch black. When he isn't fighting, the goggles typically rest on the top of his head or around his neck.

Personality: Kiken is similar to his father in personality, except that Kiken shows passion on a more frequent basis. Unlike the complete stability that Iyo has, Kiken has a tendency to gamble a bit more with his actions, while Iyo would prefer to go the route of more certainty.

Kiken is a reliable friend and ally. Despite the nature of his abilities, he is incredibly patient with other people and incredibly kind. He typically prefers to listen over talking, making him a great supporter of those around him.

Goals: Kiken's goals are to progress as a ninja (completely opposite of Iyo) and become a Jounin by age 18 at the latest. Since he hasn't been formally trained, he is slightly behind his age group. He is also in search of his mother.

History: Masazane Kiken is the son of Masazane Iyo, a smith in a small village in the Leaf. He was conceived in a relationship that didn't last very long, Iyo's love disappearing for 9 months before returning to leave Kiken with a surprised Iyo. The smith didn't ask any questions and just accepted his son with silence.

Kiken grew up in a small, but happy network. Since his father frequently traveled, his curiosity was well in control. They rarely stayed in a place for any extended period of time, which allowed Kiken to meet a lot of people at an early age. This worked well for Kiken and Iyo, since Kiken would spend the day socializing with the various villagers while Iyo would be able to work in peac. It only worked because Kiken's personality, even at a young age, was a very people oriented one. A number of the people he met were ninja from Konoha, who had exciting tales of combat and near death escapes. This excited Kiken like nothing had before. He wanted to be a part of that excitement and not just spend his day entertaining the old ladies in the villages while his father worked at a forge. He begged Iyo to let him go to Konoha, pushing it each year on his birthday. Each time Iyo said no, but as a compromise, Iyo, having had some training as a ninja, educated Kiken on the basics he knew from being a Chuunin.

This appeased the budding Kiken, who eagerly absorbed the information. He also learned why his father was such a sought after smith. Realizing that he too could use the Kinzokufo-ji, he began to practice with the bloodline in a way that was drastically different than Iyo's use. Iyo, who had used the bloodline mostly for fixing various metal objects, was quite surprised when Kiken was able to separate various elements from the earth with the ability. Kiken's personal experiments began. By mixing the various elements he pulled from the earth, then heating them, he was able to produce a vibrant glow from many of them. After 2 years of heavy trial and error, he had a rough idea of what each element would do when mixed with the other, in terms of making fireworks. He did a few rudimentary shows from the small villages, but they were just simple displays. Kiken knew that once he had the resources of a village like Konoha behind him, he would be able to actually make them into a more potent weapon.

Finally at Kiken's 15th birthday, Iyo agreed to letting him go to Konoha to begin training as a ninja, seeing that Kiken couldn't learn much more from him in anything. He had already surpassed Iyo in using his kekke genkai and his way of using it was completely alien to him. For the good of Kike, it was allowed - but, it would not happen for 6 months when Iyo could travel with Kiken to Konoha since their current village was off most of the common paths. Another reason he had relented was that he had heard Chiyoko Kioku was Hokage. Iyo knew and liked the girl, having made her mother's sword all those years ago.

Kiken's excitement was displayed in the largest fireworks show he had ever made, however, the smile on his face lit up more than his fireworks did.
