Obierugan - (Nightmare Eyes) Empty Obierugan - (Nightmare Eyes)

Name of the Kekkei Genkai: Obierugan - (Nightmare Eyes)

Type of Kekkei Genkai: Dojutsu

Clan: The Issūi clan (Issūi Ichizoku; Literally meaning "Issūi family") was one of the oldest and most powerful clans in Amegakure. All members born into the family possess the Obierugan, a kekkei genkai that allows them to see chakra and gives them the ability to manipulate it. Some time ago, the country was in the midst of a civil war. In this war, different sides battled each other using ninja, some of whom possessed kekkei genkai. After the war ended, memories of the horrific battles still lingered in the minds of the people, causing wide-spread persecutions against those with kekkei genkai. Once the most powerful of clans within the Hidden Rain, they were the first to be slaughtered during this time.

Rank: A

Description: The Obierugan (Literally meaning "Nightmare Eye") is a Kekkei Genkai, which appears in the members of the Issūi clan. Although the Obierugan consumes the user's chakra while active, the chakra levels that the user must exert is so insignificant that they can keep it active constantly. Although when the Obierugan is transplanted to a non-Issūi, the chakra drain is significant. Some speculate that the Obierugan was derived from the Sharingan at some time long ago.

The Obierugan, much like the Sharingan, is not automatically activated in the user by birth. It is only first unlocked under some stressful or emotional condition, after which, though, the Obierugan may be used freely. When the Obierugan is activated by a user, pupil of his eye will become thin and cat-like as the effects take place.

The Obierugan's first ability is that it grants the user the ability to memorize any technique that he or she witnesses, apart from Ninjutsu. The user can memorize genjutsu, and taijutsu with perfect accuracy, allowing the user to use the techniques as his own, or even modify them to create his own new techniques. In order to reproduce a copied jutsu, however, one must have the necessary skill or ability to perform them.

The Obierugan's second-most prominent ability grants the user an incredible clarity of perception, allowing them to easily recognize genjutsu and different forms of chakra. This also allows the user to pick up on subtle details, enabling them to read lip movements or mimic something like hand movements. As the Obierugan evolves, this ability extends to being able to track fast-moving objects before finally giving some amount of predictive capabilities to the user. Even though the user may be able to see an attack or know it is coming, they may not have time to react.

The third of the Obierugan's powers is being able to see the chakra flow. The Obierugan can tell if a person is under a genjutsu because the person's chakra flow would be irregular.

The Obierugan's final and most notable ability, allows him or her to cast a genjutsu simply by looking at someone. By projecting their chakra through their eyes, th euser can cast illusions upon their target(s), while making them appear, move, and feel real. While a glance can place the genjutsu, once the target(s) moves out of sight, the genjutsu is then dispelled. In other words, the final ability of the Obieugan gives the user the ability to keep casted genjutsu "unbreakable" while in their line of sight. By moving to a blind spot or simply moving behind a tree, one can then dispel the genjutsu like any other. However, some genjutsu notably used by the Issui are instantly dispelled after moving out of sight.
Weakness: Weaknesses have been underlined within the description.

Name of Jutsu: Hoshi no Tama - (Star Ball)
Rank: -
Range: -
Type of Jutsu: Genjutsu
Users: Issui Clan
Element Affinity: -
Description: The moment that they are placed into a genjutsu, the user can turn the genjutsu back onto its original user. However, since they are not casting the original jutsu and are just returning it, a lesser amount of chakra is required. Along with this, the technique also prevents anyone from entering or taking over their mind.
Weakness: This is a canon jutsu and did not have a weakness. The user must use some chakra in order to send it back at them and anyone else with a Sharingan or Obierugan can just reflect it back again.

Name of Jutsu: Kitsune-Bi - (Fox Fire)
Rank: B
Range: Eye Sight
Type of Jutsu: Genjutsu
Users: Issui Clan
Element Affinity: -
Description: One of their most powerful techniques, this genjutsu cannot be countered or blocked. With this technique, they are capable of placing an illusion upon a target(s) that will create inextinguishable black flames. The flames of this illusion are visible only by those who are affected as if they were real. This includes smell, sound and tangibility.
Weakness: While the flames are inextinguishable by water, simply getting out of Yaguri's line of sight will cause the flames to disperse. Getting to a “blind spot” or even hiding behind a rock can do this. And unlike most genjutsu, those effected by this one are still able to move around and use jutsu of their own.

Name of Jutsu: Kitsunetsuki - (Spirit Possession)
Rank: A
Range: Eye Sight
Type of Jutsu: Genjutsu
Users: Issui Clan
Element Affinity: -
Description: Kitsunetsuki is one of the most powerful genjutsu in existence. It is unique to the Issui clan and only those with the Obierugan can perform it.

Much like the other genjutsu special to the Issui, it can be cast with a simple glance. When executed, the jutsu traps the target in an illusion that is completely controlled by the user. It controls the five senses to the point that it can make the target misinterpret another person's form, shape, mass, feel and smell to be that of the enemy. When turning off the Genjutsu by force of will, the illusion shown fades away.

Kitsunetsuki is absolutely flawless; even if the target is aware that they are under the effects, they cannot resist its influence. Kitsunetsuki's ability makes it a highly useful technique in combat, as the Issui can quickly create simple or complex illusions to deceive opponents. By creating a decoy of themselves, or other illusions to distract his opponents, they can hide their own movements and attack with impunity; their opponent(s), meanwhile, will remain focused on the illusion until it's too late to react.

Weakness: Such a powerful technique is not without its disadvantages, however. Kitsunetsuki cannot be broken, dispelled, blocked or even countered except by one means; removing ones self from the Obierugan's line of sight. As long as the user can see the target(s), the genjutsu is invincible, yet by moving to a blind spot or simply hiding behind a rock, the genjutsu immediately is dispelled. And unlike most genjutsu, those effected by this one are still able to move around and use jutsu of their own.

The Obierugan's final and most notable ability, allows him or her to manipulate the flow of chakra within all things. By creating chakra imbalances, those with the Obierugan are capable of placing anyone they see in a genjutsu and holding them within it while also producing tangible effects. While a glance can place the genjutsu, once the target(s) moves out of sight, the genjutsu can then be dispelled. In other words, the final ability of the Obieugan gives the user the ability to keep casted genjutsu "unbreakable" while in their line of sight. By moving to a blind spot or simply moving behind a tree, one can then dispel the genjutsu like any other.

This is kind of problematic because of "just" eye sight/glance. It would be different if this took more "requirements" to happen. For instance the Sharingan takes eye contact. There needs to be some sort of "trick" to activate the doujutsu.

Another problem is tangible effects. A genjutsu cannot be made real under no circumstances. I saw this in your fire genjutsu as well. The pain from the genjutsu (if hit) would be enough to end the battle. The flames cannot become real in anyway, or side affects of pain. (The skin actually "burning" in real life).

Another problem is the control of chakra flow. To control someones chakra requires hand contact, or some type of mutual contact between two people. To defeat just plain eye sight you can give a range. It could sort of be like a genjutsu version of the Yamanka clan, were they only have to look at a person with a particular handsign to achieve control over their body. You could say that your character has to hold a handsign a certain way, or that they have to be in a certain range of their opponents. Since this is genjutsu you would have to extend your chakra out to make an effect. "Within a 15 meter range, anyone visible to these eyes can be caught in genjutsu. Outside of that range, the doujutsu must refocus to become more refined which takes a post (or more depending on the range)." <-- It doesn't necessarily have to be that, but if you were to see a person from a very far distance, like from 100 yards, it wouldn't be fair to say they were automatically in genjutsu just because you could see them.

Basically you would use projected chakra to make an illusion. This would allow the person to "get out of the range of your sight" to end the illusion. For instance, you would appear to make a fireball, and it would appear, move, and feel real. However, the chakra in and of itself is the actual illusion. Thought it woudl appear to hit, burn, etc etc, it would actually be fake. Think rocks for movies. They look and can sometimes feel like rocks, but are fake. Since your genjutsu would be based on this principle, as long as the opponent moves out of your range of sight, they wouldn't be able to see the illusion/it would end.

Is this acceptable, or am I forgetting something.
