Shin's Weapons

Name of Weapon or Item: Gunryo

Location: Kept on Shin's person.

Description: Gunryo is a mystical weapon that was once used by Shin Netami's mother as a Kunoichi before her unfortunate death as a result of the Kyuubi sealing. Gunryo is a large staff, close to being as tall as Shin himself. The end of the staff is shaped somewhat like a webbed foot, with five spikes spread out from the tip of the end of the staff with material in between them. Each point is very sharp, and the ends of the web between the spikes are bladed as well, giving the weapon good offensive potential. The staff is mutiple layered, with a strong steel core, and durable material protecting the staff, with more metal on the outside, with a polished, brown finish, giving it the appearance of rust or brown. Gunryo is able to be put up against swords and other weapons with ease, and Shin, the user of this tool, is highly skilled with it.

Gunryo's special ability is truly unique. It allows the person who wields the weapon to control kinetic energy. This does not mean that they will be able to punch a person and send them flying. All kinetic energy is controlled through the staff, and if the user intends to use it to attack, they must use their staff. Right now, the staff is able to increase the power of a strike by two times the amount behind it previously, giving it high potential. In addition, it is also able to absorb kinetic energy, and can halve the power of an enemies strikes. Shin can use various different staff jutsu using Gunryo. Right now, this is the capability of the weapon. However, the weapon draws some of its power from its user, and the stronger the user of this weapon becomes, the more powerful the weapon becomes. Because no user of this weapon in recorded history made it past the Chuunin rank, it is unknown what the full potential of this weapon is.

History: The origin of this weapon is not known. The weapon came into the hands of Shin Netami's mother, passed down to her from her father. The weapon's actual origins did not begin with the Netami family, but at some point in the past the family gained the staff, and began to use it themselves. Before his mother's unfortunate death as a result of the Kyuubi sealing process, she had requested that the staff be passed down to Shin when he was strong enough to wield the weapon. The weapon was given to the Hokage to hold for a while until Shin was old enough and experienced enough to train to use the weapon. One day, the Hokage brought Shin to her office, and gave him the staff while trying to talk some sense into him. He left with the staff, and began his training with it.

Name of Weapon or Item: Twin Katana Swords

Location: Kept in sheaths which are sashed to Shin.

Description: These two twin Katana swords are not at all unique. They are both just regular swords that Shin uses in combat with his Gunryo staff, alternating between using them as these swords. He is skilled in using Gunryo and these Katanas.

History: Shortly after the Kyuubi demon inside Shin temporarily ramparted and killed several people, including his father, Shin bought these two swords.
