Personality: Seir-Tai tends to be a very cold, calculating person due to the influence of her sister Lei - much like her other sister Ra. Seir is not respected much due to her generally meek attitude, however - while emotionally cold, intelligent and calculating she rarely has the guts to do anything with her plans due to the power she wields and what she can do with it. Her abilities scarred her mentally and made her regress a little, giving her a childlike youthfulness on the outside while her inside is, as aforementioned, calculating, cold and intelligent. While Seir does not seem like the kind of person to betray or backstab due to her youthfulness, she would willingly do so to benefit herself as she was taught to do so, but she is prone to becoming very attached to people very quickly and befriending them. In conclusion, Seir is an emotionally afflicted teenage girl - and this does not life easy for her, but she manages just fine regardless.

History:


Seir-Tai’s history is rather unexciting as most of the Thorn Clan’s members history is - she was shunted into training at age 6 and developed her skills very quickly, opting for control over her chakra. Seir-Tai had a very, very easy life as she is a gifted ninja, but struggled to perfect any technique she could call her own. She strived for nothing more than to be perfectly original. Seir’s desire was said to burn hotter than the flames of the sun when she was younger - it has since faded with her depression and the unfortunate injuries she suffered, however.

At age 8, Seir-Tai discovered that she had an oddly powerful hold over the movement of her chakra and soon realized that this could augment her Taijutsu abilities, by energizing and strengthening her muscles with it she quickly begun to advance in the ranks of Taijutsu, even besting the legendary Lei Thorn in a taijutsu only match (Lei was a very proficient user of Taijutsu at this time, despite being blind) and becoming a recognized ninja in her clan. Seir did not realize, however, that she herself was not using chakra on her muscles - Lei was using her Aura to do so and this in itself exposed Seir to a massive amount of chakra. Soon after she beat Lei, she lost to Sa Thorn, her mother, and begun to doubt herself, falling in a depressive spiral.

Seir refused to talk for a long time, 3 years, training massively in this time. She could control her own chakra with a deadly (literally) precision due to Lei’s interference and soon mitigated this into a fighting style, empowering her hits with chakra explosively at the point of impact to an extent that she could even blow a training dummy with a single, accurate hit. She tried to practise controlling the explosive power of her hits but was unable every time and often injured people training around her - earning her dislike as well as a mix of jealousy and envy.

Since this technique was far too dangerous as the explosive action was uncontrolled, Seir took a severe injury to the chest and damaged her heart - only living because of Lei’s (and by now, her own) strengthening of her heart (as all muscles were strengthened) and this gave her a chronic arrhythmia that often caused her to faint while training Taijutsu. Lei’s power over crystals and Tyrandé Thorn’s electricity-based jutsu, a makeshift ‘implantable defibrillator’ was implanted that realigned her heartbeat, and she was allowed to train Taijutsu again. This bought Seir out of her depression and Lei took sympathy on her, emotionally hardening her to prevent emotional pain gripping and consuming her.

In the time she was ill, Seir focussed specifically on her chakra and learnt that she could also move it, and by hyperextending this to random willing participants, she learnt she could (with some effort) move another person’s chakra. This became increasingly useful as she knew her Taijutsu were proficient enough to utilize this in person. She begun to focus her abilities on touch, and very quickly adapted to her new style, drawing chakra in the area around her touch and inflicting quite severe damage with her chakra-enriched Taijutsu. This was a powerful mix of the gentle fist and the hard fist, many complimented - and this further broke through Ra’s

The final step in her technique learning was, simply enough, to move an opponent’s chakra one step further, which with enough practice and one unfortunate willing participant, she succeeded in doing. She drew all chakra in her fellow nin’s arm to a focal point of their ulna and forced it inwards, like a needle - the sheer force of the movement of this chakra shattered the ulna completely and left the other ninja unable to use their right arm. Seir-Tai apologised inherently for this, but regardless perfected this technique and named it the Surge Needle technique. She has been training it ever since.
