Personality: Rain believes in the good of all things more than anything. Her duty is to protect Kirigakure in any way possible. As dedicated as she is, she does anything she is asked without question.

History: As daughter of the current Mizukage and originaly born in an unknown village, Rain grew up with little attention from her mother. Her father, abandoned her mother when Rain was only a baby and is the main cause for Amai's hatred towards men.

A silent wind blew through the cold shacks of an unknown Village. Many of the shacks were beaten down by the weather. Such was a familiar sight in the outer village. The weather was harsh, and many were taken by disease or the beasts that roamed the land. For those that are lucky enough to survive, they are stricken with poverty.

It was a common sight to have many shacks within a village breaking down. Their former caretakers no where to be found, either taken by the land, or they left the village for a better place. Thier loose boards hang waiting for the enevable day that they will fall. Thier insides covered by frost, the food that was left behind, hardened by the cold. The only thing taking shelter in them, being the occasional stray animal, but they too didn't last very long.

However within all this strife and pain, there was also hope. Hope that lies within the new generation. What would be a harsh world for the last generation, the new one always makes it look like meerly a bump in the path. On such a day as this, is born one such child. Within the warmth of a home owned by a young couple, was born a small child. Her hair a calming dark blue-ish black, like the dreams of a long forgotten paradise. Her eyes shined like a clear crystal blue beneath the stars.

She was born on but an average day, in a town of cold. Although just like all children in this world, her destiny was not set in stone. Could she excape this town, this world of prolonged death? If so, what did her future hold, and what mark would she leave on this world?

Years past, just as the snow drifts farther into the village. What was at one time a bustling village, is now reduced to but a few shacks, filled with only small families. Other homes have collapsed, and the creatures that roam the permafrost have made it a habit to venture into the town from time to time. Food was becoming scarse, and those areas filled with proper food, were under constant protection from the wild beasts. This village was finally on it's breaking point.

A young child stood outside. Her body wrapped in thick clothes. Her face flushed with a pink tone. In her hands held a small kife and a piece of wood. Bit by bit she shaved away at the wood. A simple hobby to keep her mind active. She was one of the few children left in the village. However, as much as she wished, she was unable to play with them. The others were all sick in bed, fevers constantly wrecking thier bodies. That's why she made these small charms. She wished with all her heart that they would get better, they were her only friends. If they were gone she would have no one else. She would be alone.

The sun set once again. the night chilled her bones, even as she slept in her warm bed. Her dreams were the only things in this village that weren't tainted by the village. She dreamt of endless fields and beaches. The warm vibrant sun beaming down upon her. She ran across the sands and grass into the arms of her mother and father.

The next day came. When she woke, she found her mother standing over top of her. She was dressed heavily, and as she looked around she saw many bags and cases stacked up. The rumors she was hearing were becoming true. The village was finally going to be abandoned. She stumbled out of the house, her tiny hands trying to hold up a heavy case. She looked around outside. The others have also gathered thier belongings. From what her mother told her, they were all going to another village far away. Although it is a place that is still covered with snow, it's living conditions were better. The rest of the village was going to join together to get a small house for them to live in. They also hoped to find a good doctor to help the sick. She was but only a child, but she wanted to do her best to help everyone. They were all she had.

The times were easier, but the weather was just as harsh. While traveling she had lost a freind. His fever heightened, and she passed away. The girl had been surrounded with deaths like this all her life, so seeing it was nothing new. However, the last thing any of them wanted to do was bury someone as soon as they arrived, especially one of the children.

Her fair skin was like soft porcilin and she shinned in the snow with each passing day. It didn't take long for the girls's family to recruit her into the Ninja Academy. They didn't do it for the adventure, they did it for the girl. In the academy were things she might not be able to get from her family. As well the family didn't have much skills to teach her, and starting her on a path like this was the best thing they could provide her with.

It didn't take too long for the girl to be ridiculed. She came for a poor family. Her tools, nothing more then left overs from a battle, or objects found lying on the ground. The others looked down on her, like nothing but scum. Once again she was alone. Her friends from the village, still stuck in beds with fevers. Thier bodies far from being able to do anything like being a ninja. Rain was scared, she felt alone in these halls. Within this city she felt more death then in her old village.

A year had past. The girl had grown to be a true prodigy that could complete any mission without restraints. However, her unique abilities got in the way of most of the training and she was placed in care of her own teacher, without the comfort of other children. With her father's bloodline she anything she touched, disintegrated. Kunai turned to dust before becoming a weapon of greater value, rocks turned to dust, plants died all around her, and animals died when touched. She trained alone for years to come… untill one day….

She was training on this day just like every other day, fighting against her teacher. Believing that it was time to see some anger out of Rain, the teacher provoked the girl like a cat with a ball of yarn. It was time to put her into a life like battle, he hired someone to come and try to kill her. They were paid to beat her up and then leave. The paid shinobi accidently hit her in the chest with a kunai that was never ment to strike. Her blood dripped from her soaked clothes. Her face grew solomn and grave. A glimmer in her silver eyes flashed a putrid smirk of vengence and so the start of an outcome that none prodicted.

The girl extended her small fingers out at the shinobi and clutched around his arm. The shinobi’s cells grew extreemly fast, but he did not age anymore. Instead, it looked as if he was decomposing. His body turned to dust. Next was her teacher, who fought valiantly but was over come by the power that he had never seen her use. The girls ability to use her own jutsu without hand seals deamed her the winner of their small and pointless fight to the death. Her speed and strength were unhuman and her ability became his downfall.

Rain was never the same after that day as she blames herself for her uncontrolled power. From that day on, Rain dedicated her life to preserving the life of all those around her.

Rain Matari Empty Re: Rain Matari

After maturing into a young woman, Rain became known as Kiri's Ambassador, who would deal with all political aspects. As such, it became her duty to extend Kiri's hand towards the other villages in an agreement of peace. Ordered by her mother, Rain join a secret organization under Kumo's rule and acted as the bridge between both Kiri and Kumo. The team soon separated and was replaced by Kenshi Uchiha.

Returning back to Kiri, Rain met Daisuke, a young shinobi looking to join the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. As a member herself, Rain took him to see their leader, Kaji Kanto. After leaving Kiri again, Rain was accompanied by a body guard. The man named Mizo was a strange man who did not seem to enjoy his life. After a small brawl to test their abilities, Miso planted a kiss upon her lips, knowing that Kaji would appear and kill him. In doing so, Mizo had allowed Rain to steal his Kekkei Genkai. And as predicted, Kaji had appeared but only to test their reasons for fighting. In the end, Mizo was allowed to live and Rain was given another gift; a sword that had a piece of Kaji's soul within it. Rain eventually left Kumo in search of the Akatsuki.

As she continued at her easy pace, the sound of someone behind her made her look back as they yelled at her. The young man looked familiar to her and it took only a moment to realize that he was in the meeting room with the Kage's. He had been siting beside the Raikage during the discussions.

He seemed to be very polite as he asked if he could escort her. Though she was looking forward to traveling alone for a bit, she would most certainly enjoy his company. Rain moved her hair out of her face as she calmly responded. "I would enjoy your company. I am heading towards Kusagakure and don't mind traveling with you for as long as our paths are in the same direction. My name is Rain and it is pleased to meet you."

He was unlike most of the boys she had grown up knowing. To be more precise, she grew up with barely any contact with males because of her mothers obsession of hating them. The only men she had been around were guards that were assigned to protect her, yet never any that were around her own age, as the Mizukage's orders. This was to erase any temptations that anyone would have towards the other.

Rain had already found men to act strangely as her past few weeks of contact with them had been eventful. Mizo, in a suicide attempt, gave her a first kiss without a choice as to draw out Kaji to kill him. Kaji had tested them both in which they passed but with little explanation. She had found many boys attractive, but stayed her distance as the many guards were ordered to keep all males away. With noone around to watch her every action, maybe she could finally get to know what was so bad about them and why her mother hated every single one of them.

Rain spent the long trip getting to know Riku who soon became one of her friends. Taking a moment to visit his Bar, Rain saw Daisuke once again and a few other people that she had not seen in a while. While sitting down for a cup of tea, Rain soon learned of what was happening without her knowledge. They immediately left for Kirgakure in order to help the villagers who were being attacked. Along their travels, Rain learned of her mother's death.

Her mother's death was a curious thing to her. After hearing the words escaped Riku's lips, Rain was emotionless. Her heart wanted to weep, yet her eyes would not work. Most of the emotions within her mind were shock. Who had the power to kill her? These were troubling matters, yet she could not stay focused on anything. Her mind wandered into her past and relived her life, growing up on her mother's right side. Never receiving affection or love, she could not help but be confused. Was she cruel for not weeping for her mother? Had she fallen into the hole that she had so desperately tried to stay from? As her mind went back further into her past, she could find no recollection of any feeling other than admiration for her mother. She remembered the many nights crying for her mother to love her. Yet as she begged, pleaded and worked for some comfort, the woman looked at her and only saw the man that broke her heart within the eyes of the young girl. Rain remained as if she had not heard him for the rest of the night, like nothing had happened.

That night, Rain let her hand drift off the side of the boat and looked down into the water. The cool liquid seemed to wash away the layers of repression and revealed a single loving memory; her only one.

Spoiler:

Looking down at the water, small drops of water dripped form her chin as salty tears leaked from her eyes; her mother's eyes. She wept for the love that she would never feel, the hand that she could never touch and the mother she never had. How long had she worked to create a woman that her mother would be proud of? Was it all for nothing? Was life meant to be worked for and then stripped away without a seconds glance? Who was he to take away everything her life had been lived for? What demon killed Rain the day he killed her mother? Rain opened her once fluorescent blue eyes to reveal two spheres of silver staring into the watery depths. From her eyes shed the last tear... a silver tear. This man would pay...

After the ordeal with the Red Phoenix, Rain returned to Kiri. Still overwhelmed with emotion, Rain was found to be to distressed to become the next Mizukage. Spending much of her time with the comforting Riku, Rain's pain was eased to the point of returning to her training and work. While Riku left to train with his uncle, Rain was approached by a young man with silver hair. As cold as steel, his words purswuaded her to leave the village and disappeared for a long duration of time. Having trained with Anima for a several weeks, Rain returned to the village once again. Upon her arrival, she had coe to learn that Riku had vanished; Riku had joined the Akatsuki. Not knowing this, Rain has begun her search for Riku along with more extensive training.
