History:
The Soragoei Clan is a very old clan, older than most other clans that exist today in the Shinobi World. Long, long ago, around the time of Rikudou Sennin, the man who founded and began building up the Soragoei Clan was born. Kashikoi Soragoei was born in the Lightning Country, to the small Soragoei family. The Soragoei was not a clan, but simply a small family of merchants, traders, and other small business people. At this time in the history of the world, the Rikudou Sennin was spreading the ideas of Shinobi, and teaching its ways. He was ridiculously powerful, and had many followers, the very first ever Shinobi. Kashikoi was one of the people who was trained in the Shinobi arts by Rikudou during his lifetime. Because of Sennin's immense power and skill, his students, naturally, turned out strong as well.

Kashikoi was a fairly young man by the time his training with the Sennin had been completed. Kashikoi, along with the other Shinobi of the world, helped Rikudou defeat the Jubi, and bring peace to the world. Afterwards, Kashikoi became a wanderering ninja, doing various jobs for various employers, using the money he got to take care of himself. One day during his travels, Kashikoi encountered the dragons. Giant, legged, winged serpents that breathed fire, and had immense strength and power. The dragons were normally very hostile towards travelers. However, the dragons liked Kashikoi, and Kashikoi befriended the dragons. He lived with them, learning from them, and he became one of the best users of the Fire element in all of history. Kashikoi got married, and had four children, Kita, Azuma, Minami, and Uesuto.

The four children had varying personalities, and were taught in the ways of the Shinobi. The dragons, too, learned how to use their chakra from Kashikoi. The original summoning contract for the dragons was completed, and signed by five individuals, Kashikoi and his children. They were all able to summon dragons to fight on their behalf. Each one went their separate ways, spanning the globe. Each one of them started families, and the family tree grew. Eventually, there were four different Soragoei Clans in the world. They worshiped the dragons, and in exchange for their loyalty to the dragons, they were granted special abilities by the dragons, and the ability to summon the dragons themselves to battle.

Each branch of the clan had different practices than the others, though they all worshiped the same dragons. Each branch was named after the names of the children who started the clan. Kita, Azuma, Minami, and Uesuto. Eventually, however, the Uesuto branch grew in power, and wanted to unite all of the branches as one, under his leadership. He started inter-clan wars with his powerful army of followers trained in the ways of Shinobi. Uesuto managed to nearly destroy the Minami branch, with only a few members of the branch alive, with Minami herself dead. Uesuto was eventually defeated, and executed, and the branch also dwindled.

Over the many years of their existence, the Soragoei Clan grew in strength and number. However, the constant wars between clans before the formation of the Hidden villages took their tolls. The Minami branch fell. After the formation of the Hidden Villages, the War against the bloodlines in the Water Country spelled the end for the Uesuto branch. Maybe one or two members of these branches remain alive today, seeking refuge in other countries. The Kita and Azuma branches remain strong in the current Shinobi world.

Special Info:

The Soragoei Clan is not a very large clan. In total, there are about sixty people that are part of the Soragoei clan. There were originally four branches, all part of the same Clan, yet still divided. Today, only two branches remain stable. The Kita branch is located in the Lightning Country, in the Hidden Cloud village and surrounding areas. The Azuma branch is in the Wind Country, in the Hidden sand village.

The Soragoei Clan was given two gifts by the dragons. The first was the right to sign a Dragon summoning contract, allowing them to summon dragons. The second was the ability that is only passed down in blood. This Kekkei Genkai makes the Soragoei clan members more like dragons, and gives them some dragon-like qualities.

Requirements:

The members of the Soragoei Clan are loyal to the dragons first, and their Hidden village second. They must regularly perform rituals, and attend “church” in clan compounds. If a person born into the clan does not consider the dragons their overlords, and bow to them, they will be tossed into the wild, and left to die.
