Rekishi Ryuujin [Done]

Even from the beginning Rekishi's life was chaos. Born sometime 28 years ago in Kirigakure, Rekishi’s earliest memory was at the age of three at the house of his guardian at the time. ”I have no money to take care of this child. He’s not even really mine.” the man’s voice said, loud, and vivid in Rekishi’s memory. He remembered fear and not knowing what was happening. He had not face to go with the voice in his memory, merely the man’s loud rough voiced.

Later that day, Rekishi remembers someone presumably the same man taking him through the streets of Kirigakure, weaving in and out through the streets in order to get him lost. Rekishi remembers the man suddenly disappearing from his sight going around a corner as they made their way through their way around the maze of streets. Running after him Rekishi soon found himself even more lost. Later in life Rekishi realized the purpose of this trip was to get him lost, that way the man wouldn’t have to take care of him.

After a while of running, Rekishi stopped exhausted by the backdoor of a building. Suddenly in a flash, Rekishi felt his head slam into the concrete in front of him. He awoke sometime later, could have been hours, could have been days. But he awoke in a cold dark cell somewhere with almost no light. What seemed like a long time passed before two men came into the room, he couldn't see their faces as they were obscured by the darkness. The men exchanged a conversation and after some time one of the men blindfolded Rekishi and took him somewhere.

He was bought by a a rich family near the outskirts of Sunagakure. He was put to work with a group of several other 'servants' of different ages. Over the course of 3 years he completed the grueling tasks set for him. Having been ordered to work tasks which were severely more difficult than others his age could have completed, he became stronger than nearly everyone else at his age.

Of course, being the rebellious person he was, he had also received many more scars and injuries than others at his age. Scars from repeated whip marks were imbedded in his back along with numerous other scars littering the rest of his body. His rebellious nature cause others to fear being caught socializing with him, Rekishi was avoided like the plague, no one would be caught near him or helping him. However one man Kasai befriended Rekishi and in what little spare time they both could muster, he taught him basic ninja skills along with something else.

Several years past and Rekishi grew more daring. Resisting his orders, refusing to work. But of course, his resistance gave him nothing but more scars. However, he grew stronger both in terms of strength and skills. He didn't let his 'slave' status hold him back from increasing his knowledge. Whenever he got the chance, he would sneak books from the house and read them in any free time he had. His relation ship with Kasai grew as well. Kasai took the place of the father figure in Rekishi's life and under Kasai's teaching Rekishi learned many things.

However, Kasai's and Reikishi's relationship was viewed as dangerous, it could've caused an uprising. So, to attempt to quell Rekishi's rebellious spirit and prevent any uprising from the slaves, Kasai was killed, strung from the ceiling in the dead of night with several deep, by the time he was found in the morning, he was already dead. The death shocked several of the others, it was more common for people to go missing and never return, but Kasai's death was meant to be a warning.

It is interesting the effects losing the only person you truly cared for have on a person. Especially when they realize that they have nothing left to lose. Rekishi's anger was fresh and strong, he had no reason to stay here. In the dead of night, after several weeks of preparation, Reikishi stole away in the dead of night. Stowing away on a boat, he made his way out of the Land of Water.

After several months of travel, which he spent learning as much as he could. He traveled throught Sunagakure, picking up a few skills there, aswell as traveling through all of the lesser villages. He had little money to live off of, so most of his nutrients was achieved by less than honorable means. (AKA stealing). He traveled through Kumogakure and Konohagakure, both for a brief time, learning what he could and leaving before he could get caught.

However despite his year or so worth of travel, he thought that something was missing from his life. He found the lack of purpose, depressing, at that time, he was the type of person who needed something to drive him forward. After traveling to Sunagakure, he found the village to suit his liking. Few people and less supervision, he'd be able to train his skills and learn new ones, without much interference.

He was accepted in the village, after passing numerous tests to make sure he was capable, especially as he had never actually enrolled in a ninja academy. After his skill level was determined, he was given the rank of Chuunin. In between missions, he worked on mastering his element affinity as well as mastering the use of his 'Inner Ki'. He gained recognition as one who could swiftly complete missions with minimum or no losses and after some time he was promoted to Jounin.

He gained the nickname ‘Fire Dragon’ because of his use of the katon element and his brutality when it came to fighting. During his time as Jounin, he completed many more missions and gained a small fortune from the payouts. He was considered one of the top ninja in the village, in line to be the next Kazekage, until the explosion.

A ninja, a skilled comrade of Rekishi had found life allied with the village not to his liking and was attempting to leave when he bumped into Rekishi at the gate. Rekishi quickly derived a conclusion and the two fought. Both near the same skill level, the fight was not going to be over quickly. In an attempt to stop his comrades escape, Rekishi used a jutsu he had not yet perfected, the effects of which were devastating and several more people died along with his opponent. Without even thinking he ran, he would not risk the punishment that came with such a crime.

After narrowly escaping death in Sunagakure, Rekishi ran, he had to get away from Sunagakure as quickly as he could. Traveling into the Land of Fire, he found himself pursued there too, as they were allied with Suna. Kumogakure was too far and Iwagakure had long since been destroyed so the only choice he had was to return home. After 9 years, Rekishi returned to Kirigakure.

Stowing away on a cargo ship headed for Kirigakure, he snuck back into the land of water, he couldn't risk anybody recognizing him until he had explained his situation to the Mizukage, so he hid in the shadows as he made his way to the Mizukage. After explaining his situation to the Mizukage several days after arriving in Kirigakure, he was granted sanctuary and began working for the village, but not under official ninja status, it was more of freelance work.

For several years he worked for the Mizukage, doing jobs that other’s could not or would not. As well as continuing to build his skill base, enough time had passed that he was not recognized by his previous owners, yet on the same token, he could not identify any of them. The small fortune that he had built in
Sunagakure continued to grow under the payment of Kirigakure. He found a second home in his birthplace and became close to some people, or as close as his personality would allow. At least until the Shikyo rebellion.

Due to reasons currently unknown to Rekishi the members of the Shikyo clan rebelled against the ninja system of Kirigakure which resulted in the destruction of the island. However several Ninja escaped along with the Mizukage. While Rekishi escaped in his own personal escape route, a route he had planned when he had first came to Kirigakure. However due to him not being with the rest of the Kirigakure ninja, he is presumed to be dead.
