Appearance: Flowing auburn hair that is slightly curled and travels down to her waists is Maoa’s more notable feature. Her honey colored eyes and caramel tan meld in with her natural blush, mature curves, and 5’11’ height. She weighs 130lbs and is heavily muscled in the back, legs, and arms. Despite her strong build she isn’t bulky or overly masculine. Maoa has a soft voice, thin peach lips, and a C-sized bosom. She wears brown, leather knuckle gloves, a black tee-shirt, a belt strapped with ninja weapons such as kunai, shuriken, mashibishi spikes, explosive tags, and some wire. Below her waists she wears some tight black pants that are torn at the bottom. She wears black tennis shoes that have .7’’ spikes at the toe. Her hair is usually tied back by a black ribbon that hangs loosely behind her. She wears a black necklace with a silver stone in the center and 2 black, beaded necklaces that were made by her mother. At her wrists are black, beaded bracelets that were hand made by her mother. Her headband is strapped on her right arm

Personality: She is curious in most cases. She finds enjoyment in figuring things out and investigating everything she sees and finds. Due to this inquisitive nature she possesses, she can be quite gullible and easy to fool. She will trust in the words that an adult will share with her to the furthest extent. She is absolutely loyal to her nation and will fight all and everything they deem an enemy until they are no longer deemed a threat. She will protect her allies even if it costs her a limb or two. She’s careful of her allies and can go a little overboard with her enemies. At times her curiosity can be exploited by even her enemies, but mostly she is trustful with those within her own nation. Maoa is a sweet, generous and kind girl that can shift from gente to fierce in the split of a second.

History: Maoa is the second child of Masai and Megumi Kiayaku and their only daughter. From birth she was born into a family that prided themselves as those who excelled in their martial arts. The Blind-Hawk fighting style has always remained in the family and it was carried from her father’s lineage. It was her great-grandfather who broke tradition and decided to take his knowledge of martial arts outside the secrecy of their family as he became a ninja. It was considered dangerous to spread the technique to hungry eyes like enemy nations so it was absolutely blasphemous to become a ninja or any sort of instructor or pro-fighter. Due to their secrecy and stand against allying with ninja, they aren’t deemed a legitimate clan within the fire nation.

Her grandfather, Maoi Kiayaku, was said to be the strongest in the art. Using his connections with the ninja world and taking instruction from a number of jounin, he trained himself and furthered the Blind-Hawk fighting style of the Kiayaku family. The Blind-Hawk specializes in estimating the movements of the target by sensory targeting. The entire style is based on defending oneself from enemy attacks by motioning ones body to brace, counter, or endure the attacks of those coming at them based on the way your senses react. To simplify, Blind-Hawk is using the senses to see movements before they are made. It was her grandfather who went a step further and aimed the Blind-Hawk at offensive style fighting. He focused on swift and powerful attacks centered around punching and leaping. His quick movements, powerful hits, and his ability to fight without his eyes coined him the title “Blind-Hawk”.

His family disowned him, except his two only sons. Teaching them the stronger and urban Blind-Hawk, his children were a great deal stronger than their fellows within the family. It created a divergence which eventually turned into a hidden war. The actual family lived within the Konoha, but settled just who’s Blind-Hawk was stronger outside of the village. Maoi won the battle, but he lost his other son. Eventually, the remaining members followed under Maoi and with their help Maoi taught Masai the true Blind-Hawk. Maoa, who was taught this past, was instructed by her father and grandfather alone.

When Maoa’s basic training was completed, when she was around 7, her grandfather took it upon himself to teach her ninja techniques. Maoa enjoyed ninja techniques more than her average student studies so she enrolled into the academy. She was taught by her teachers and her grandfather together and eventually the other ninja allowed her father to teach her all there was about ninja techniques. Although she learned an assortment of advanced and strong ninja techniques, Maoa missed out on the basics like Substitution, Trap Comprehension, Rope Escape and the like.

Eventually, Maoa was placed on a team with two others.

Despite her ill ability in the basics of basics, Maoa was still high in her class. When she was 13 she was allowed to participate in the chuunin exams. She had the knowledge, strength and skill to pass, but her team ended up holding her back. Breaking one of the rules and leading to their failure was thanks to one of her more hasty team mates. After that failure her grandfather stepped down as their teacher and they were given a real Jounin instructor. The instructor was cold, harsh, and a slave driver to the core. That Jounin managed to only make Maoa stronger and smarter in battle. The second time they went for the exams, when she was 14, she and her team passed.

Having the title Chuunin was something she loved and took pride in. She used her chuunin authority in every possible situation and took every mission she could. She wanted to see things, to explore things, to learn more and more. It was during her exploration that her grandfather’s health began to fail. He was struck with some degenerative disease that seemed to be attacking his motory skills. Eventually, his health fell so far that he was bedridden. Maoa was kept in the dark of her grandfather’s declining health by her mother. Her mother knew that Maoa would worry and try to find some “mystery answer” like she did for everything. Maoa was 16 when her grandfather died. His funeral was something her mother couldn’t hide. Maoa learned that her grandfather had been sick a long time and they hadn’t told her because they didn’t want her to put her life on hold to help him. Maoa was depressed for a good long while. She recovered from her grandfather’s death slowly with the help of her mother and father. She had dropped most of her missions and only took a mission if it was absolutely necessary. When she finally recovered she still didn’t go out on missions all the time. Maoa grew closer to her mother and father. She knew they could die just as swiftly as her grandfather and she didn’t want to be away from them too long.

Today she has regained her lost luster. She has had an entire year to grow up a little more and, even though she doesn’t like being from her family, she still wishes to find the answers she ponders oh so much. She wishes to grow stronger as the “Blaze Hawk”, her self proclaimed title, and see everything and learn all there is.
