Yousei Fuusoku

Was born in Fuusoku clan. At early age he has shown signs of his bloodline and began training as head family member. He grew up fast as really talented because such things as basics were just a waste of time for him. Even if he was just a kid, he easily understood even most complex theory. At age of 7 he has learned how to manipulate Wind natured chakra, has undertaken medical ninjutsu, genjutsu, kenjutsu, fuuinjutsu and empathy training. His father, member of Fuusoku council, was proud to have such "genius" son.

Then they noticed that he's not so good in taijutsu, causing him to avoid physical combat; his father suggested him to find a partner with equal strength for training. Soon Yousei made friends with another head family member, Minomo. She was about same age as he; she didn't mind to punch him in face. While training with her his dodging ability and speed increased a lot, but he still wouldn't fight hand2hand. After this he gave much effort to to master his first chakra element, Wind.

While doing that he found young phoenix named Ondan. Ondan was victim of humans wish for power; they used sealing techniques to drain most of his chakra and "inner energy" that he uses to "rebirth". Since Ondan saw fast awakening bloodline in Yousei, he thought that boy could defend him and they made a deal. Yousei's going to give his body as shelter and half for his chakra to phoenix for regeneration of inner energy that normally would take over hundred years; and And, in times of need, would give him fire natured chakra and would heal his wounds.

Young phoenix sealed himself inside the boy. Yousei kept this a secret and continued with his "grow". But now, as he uses half of his chakra for Ondan to restore his energy, he has weakened in ninjutsu. Yousei asked elder Tsuta to create a seal for him that could store his chakra; Elder found ancient "Shin" seal in families archives and placed it on young genius. That turned out in a good way and in age of 10 Yousei has mastered Fuuton, his seal fit perfectly with his Kekkei Genkai, also it was said to have an ability to dispel genjutsu.

A bit later Mashiro Fuusoku, Youseis dad, wrote a letter to Kazekage, asking him to let his son from royal Fuusoku family join Sand ninja group. Kazekage accepted him and made him go through graduation exam. Yousei easily became Genin and continued his training. He didn't get much to improve, as it was almost time for next Chuunin exams. After some thinking clan Elders decided to let him participate.

They found him a team fitting his abilities. Others two members of that team was girls, but they were both special too. Girls' names were Hanashi Uchiha and Kiyoko Uchiha. Their first team meeting was really strange, though Yousei didn't know what should it be like, after learning each others names they fell asleep because their teacher was late. Even later they didn't managed to catch their teacher, though...

Chuunin Exams themselves were not very traditional. Hokage decided that first exam - paper test, wasn't required and they skipped it. Second exam was taking place in The Forest of Death, huge forest near Konoha, that's full of big snakes, leeches and others deadly things. It was really odd that only five teams at all were taking it. Before exam was begun, some small conflicts accured between other team and when gates opened they all rushed out.

Yousei's team was the last to leave and as soon as they entered The Forest, signal flames crossed sky. Girls understood that sign - war has started, Konoha has raised alarm. They were called out of Forest and moved to their village. When they came back they were told that these exams took only one life and that they were promoted to Chuunin rank. Then they got some free time, Sunagakure wasn't preparing for war.

Yousei spent that time for thinking off new wind techniques based on ideas he got from Chuunin Exams. While working on some artificial chakra system theory, he got recall from his clan. Elders requested his soon return to clan mansion. Yousei had to leave his work and obey orders of Elder Council, he hoped to at least find better theory and materials for his work at home. And so he traveled without rushing or anything.

Yousei was happy to return, he could see his childhood friend again, meet his teachers, continue training. After council allowed him to use clan archives for his work, all of his concern was put into creating perfect for his abilities clone technique. It took two weeks to create and then master that technique. In that time Ondan started feeling something bad and Yousei noted that. After few days Elder Council called up a meeting and Yousei was informed that ancient organization named The Order attacked Great Shinobi Nations, and that Konohagakure and Sunagakure were both almost wiped out.

These news were shocking, but it seamed like Shinobi managed to withstand again. Next day Yousei was sent together with two clanmates to aid Sunagakure. Even if it seamed to be too late, there ware much to do. On their way to Suna Yousei's group encountered group of junior members of Order. Even, though, Yousei didn't want to fight them, his clanmates wanted to avenge thei killed friends in Suna.

Two groups were drawn into battle and mixed up. Yousei wasn't in a hurry to kill his opponent and soon found out that it might even by kind of trouble to win. He fought against a guy that used unseen shadow techniques and wielded strange katana. They've been fighting few hours and in that time enemy broke Yousei's wakizashi, but he learned that enemy's katana weakens any matter it touches. After understanding his opponents attack pattern, Yousei did a tricky move with his new clone technique and managed to fatally injure enemy.

Before opponent died, he told Yousei his whole story. How Order came into their village and took everyone who's talented. He told about his parents and how they died working for leader of Order. In his last breath this boy named Hasumaru gave Yousei his Katana, that was enchanted by his father. Then Yousei returned to his group.

Only few clanmates we injured, they gave them first aid and dispatched back home. After three months of rebuilding Sunagakure, Yousei returned home for his 12th birthday. They gave him one year of training and growing, so he could "prepare". Somehow in age of 13 Yousei was promoted to Jounin rank and was given a special armor of his clan. He was Jounin, but yet too young to lead genins, so council gave him secret missions in other countries.

When Yousei was in age of 15 there was a terrible accident. He was on a mission in Wind Country, when he got message that Fuusoku mansion was attacked by group of marauding shinobi. Yousei rushed all the way back, but he was too late to save his friends and family. Ninja from Sunagakure have already taken out marauders. Yousei was told that his dad died saving covering others retreat and that his little sister ran away together with many of others.

While searching mansion ruins, Yousei found a letter to his father in elder's Tsuta chambers. This letter told about incoming marauders and that elder Tsuta was going to secret clan archives to take some sort of defense tool. Since that letter wasn't opened before, it was right to think that Mashiro didn't receive it at all. After some thinking Yousei decided to find elder Tsuta and learn about this failure. Yousei set remaining part of archive on fire (to avoid anymore secrets revealed) and left.

The hideout with secret archives was located in Country of River. Entrance to it was unlocked, so Yousei got a chance to slip in silently. Few steps behind entrance there was a body which belonged to elder Tsuta when she lived; she was killed with kunai thrown to her back. It was quite dark in there, but Harangan allowed Yousei to see and he noticed that doors on the left are open and a weak light is going through it. As he walked in that room, he saw a masked shinobi reading some sealing instructions in a light of a candle.

Shinobi soon noticed Yousei's presence and attacked him with some strong Raiton techniques. Since Yousei's speciality was Fuuton, he easily deflected those attacks and killed the murderer. When Yousei searched shinobi's body, he found another letter which says, that Fuusoku mansion's defense is weakened and that Tsuta's letter was placed in her chamber instead of given to Mashiro. Yousei was too nervous and depressed to think what this all means. He simply got rid ot the bodies and closed hideout, after taking those sealing instructions shinobi was reading.

For next two years Yousei was searching for any of his clanmates that have escaped death in that accident. When he finally gave up, he returned River Country, became a doctor, created family and studied secret archives for 20 years. In age of 39 he lost his family because of unknown sickness and fell into deep depression for 5 years. After he recovered from this loss, he continued training, studying archives and helping others. He doesn't age, while Ondan constantly renews his body. Till now he lived as doctor/scientist and researched many things.

His research got stucked, also recent events has drawn his attention to the outside world and after some thinking he asked Ondan to make his body very young, as he used to look when he was Chuunin. Yousei continued his search for any of his family members, though his hope of finding any has decreased severely. Anyway, he got some info, which gave a possibility that there was somebody from his clan in Kumogakure. And so, tracing that person Yousei came to Kumogakure and proposed Raikage to allow his join the village. Because of the info about possible member of his fallen clan, Yousei guessed that this member would most likely be Genin and asked to be Genin ranked too.

"Easy going..." Yousei was still in mid air kicking, while his opponent didn't even bother to avoid his kick. Vice-Captain's reiatsu jumped up and his body was covered by flames. At first Yousei thought it was only his reiatsu, as the flames felt only warm, not hot at all, but then his empathy helped him - Vice-Captain was sure of his defence, which ment that hitting him would be a mistake. Yousei swiftly changed his leg's direction, landed on his hands, then used shunpo and appeared quite aside.

Vice-Captain drew out his Zanpakuto and took a stance while facing Seigen. "I'm stepping this up a notch by having my zanpakatou out, make it worth my time." By that time, Seigen released his sword and was preparing an attack. Quite a view it was, when lightning came from the sky right into Seigen's blade and was then released at Vice-Captain. But even if Seigen was confident of his attack, Yousei knew not to underestimate their opponent.

"Gonna make this even harder to dodge..." He shunpo'ed to his limit speed and appeared 10 meters behind Renjiro with his left hand's forefinger pointed at him. "Hadou no. 4, Byakurai!" As soon as white lightning came from his finger, Yousei shunpo'ed again and appeared at right from his opponent "Byakurai!", sent another lightning from other side, then with shunpo appeared at left side "Byakurai!", and disappeared again. While performing his flash step, Yousei saw the scene - not only Seigen's lightning, which could be enough to kill Vice-Captain, but also three bolts of white lightning were coming from different direction at Renjiro. Yousei still had some time to perform one more kido, until he's out of synchronization with those other attacks. He did one more flash step and appeared 5 meters above Lieutenant, then slammed his hands into a handseal "Bakudou no. 1, Sai!"

Yousei walked into the training grounds. This morning, when he woke up, he decided to finally do his Bankai training. Although, he did it before, he wasn't able to master it; all he could get to was his Zanpakuto's materialization. But today he'll go all the way and finish this undone job. He was really determined to do it. Yousei found a quiet place, where nobody would come to disturb him and unsheathed his Zanpakuto. "Come out, Yozora! I wish to train for Bankai, you hear me? I finally gathered enough resolve to do that training again!" The blade remained silent for a few moments, though Yousei felt like it was a whole eternity. Then the sword started to glow weak blue color and Yozora's figure appeared next to him. Her look was calm as always, but her eyes showed an interest. "So, I'm summoned for this same purpose again. I thought you vowed last time to never do this again..." Yousei remembered the hellish training she made him go through, which made him swear he'll never do this again. "Yes, I did. But that promise was out of despair and I swore it to myself, I may not keep it, especially if I have another promise that makes me break that one." Her face didn't change, but Yousei felt she was getting happier. "Now, I will make another promise. And it will be to you, so I could not break it. I promise, I will achieve our Bankai!"

She smiled as her hair was streaming in the wind. Yousei looked at her charmed, admiring her beauty. "Alright. We will continue, but not here, at least not right now." As she said it, she took Yousei's hand and pulled him after herself. They walked and their surroundings changed, sky darkened, air became humid, thick haze covered the ground. They were walking through a forest, that looked familiar, but Yousei couldn't remember where it was. Suddenly Yozora stopped and turned around letting his hand go. They were standing in a clearing, it was the same forest, but the fog here was havier, trees bigger, so Yousei couldn't much of see the sky. "I want to test you. You will have to fight me. To pass this one, you must tell me where we are. But keep in mind that I won't let you day dream, nor get your attention off me, if you don't wish to die." She raised her hand forward and she herself appeared as a blade in her hand. It was strange to see your Zanpakuto be wielded by its own spirit. Yousei drew out his sword and took his stance. "Let's make one thing clear. As this test doesn't require you to show your full power, you don't need to release my Shikai form. So, as long as you don't go into Shikai, so won't I." She pointed her blade's tip at Yousei and disappeared. "Let's begin!" Yousei stood there looking at the spot where she just talked, when he heard her voice near his right ear. "Don't sleep" Her sword flashed and Yousei was just in time to stop it before it left him beheaded. Then he got a kick in his stomach and was sent flying. While he was passing many trees, he heard distand sounds of construction proccess, until Yozora appeared before him and hit him to hard, that he was blown back at the ground. Yousei stood up and then heard her voice next to his right ear again. "You're slow." He turned right, where she should be, but there wasn't anyone, as he looked back, he saw her charging right at him from the front. Last moment he flash steped and blocked her blade, then pointed his left forefinger at her. "Hadou no. 4...." Right when he was about to release a kidou, he looked at her eyes. It wasn't an emotion or something that he saw there; it was a building with symbol of 13th division on it. Suddenly he felt someone behind him. When he turned around, he saw Yozora there; another was standing in front of him with their blades crossed. "There are two of them?!..." The one before him smiled and pushed her blade harder, while another that was behind him sent a kick at his legs. Yousei shunpo'ed to get some distance and next moment was sent flying from a kick at his back. As he was about to hit a tree, Yozora appeared before him with her finger pointed at his heart. "Byakurai!" Before the lightning would hit him, Yousei pointed his sword in its way, so he saved his heart. But next moment he heard Yozora's voice at his right ear. "Behind you." When he turned back, there were two of them coming at him; one had a blade in her hand. Including the one who sent this byakurai, there were three of them. One from behind slashed her blade at Yousei. He didn't escpade it until the last moment, then shunpo'ed to the other side of clearing they were fighting in. He thought of what he saw in reflection of Yozora's blade, when it was coming towards him. "It looked like sky, just like this morning... What's with all those visions?! I can't concentrate on the fight like this!" Then Yousei remembered his objective in this test, he had to figure out his location. "Could it be?..." His thought was interupted by Yozora's voice at his right ear. As before, he turned there, but didn't see anyone, when he turned back; five figures of Yozora were running at him. Two of them held blades and one was raising her hand to release some sort of attack. Suddenly one more appeared above him and Yousei's vision got bound to her hair. It looked as if her hair moved like tree in wind, Yousei could swear he saw the trees in his Division's training grounds. He came to himself just the moment he would be hit and before it he managed to cross his blade with Yozora's. Then he shunpo'ed behind those six and released his sword. "Terasu Okuchou Hatsu, Yozora!" Yousei placed his hand on Yozora's blade and moved it as if cleaning dust from it. Where his hand touched the blade, blade's color changed to a picture of nightsky with many stars. After that he swung the blade at six figures of opponent releasing Night Wind that sliced them and covered whole clearing in dust. "So, you released me..." She was standing next to him placing her hand on her blade. "Shall I release it too?" "No need, I have the answer." She stopped; her look was serious as she studied Yousei's face. "Well? Tell me." "I don't know where this place is, but it doesn't matter, as I'm not here really. I'm still in 13th Division's Training Grounds since the moment I came to train for my bankai." One moment Yousei thought his answer was wrong as Yozora didn't say anything, but then she smiled and closed her eyes. For the last moment Yousei saw that forest, with huge trees and heavy fog, then it disappeared and he realized he was standing in same place he materialized Yozora.

They were standing in Yousei's quiet place of 13th Division's training grounds. It took a moment until Yousei realized his Zanpakuto - Yozora was behind him, with her hands around him and her head on his right shoulder. It was no wonder he always heard her voice at his right ear. "Yes, you answered it correctly. It was just an illusion, though the place you saw was real, it exists in your heart." Yousei didn't say anything while in her embrace, so she continued. "Well, prepared for next test?" As she said it, his mind began to move. "Oh yeah, the training... I'm going to achieve bankai today..." He replied. "Next test... Is there more?" "Did you think this would be enough to master my Bankai?... You still have many weaknesses and your next objective will be to clear them out." Before Yousei could reply, he felt as if a great amount of energy moved through him and he was shot an incredible distance. Now they stood in his inner realm. He recognized the shrine, isle, lake, fog around the lake, mountains in the distance and never changing nightsky. "How do I clear my weaknesses? How do I even fight them?" Yozora remained silent for a moment, then turned around and said. "Follow me, I'll show you more of your heart and soul." She walked a bit away from the shrine. There was a stone. It looked like stairs; they went up to the sky and ended few meters above ground. Yozora started to walk them and Yousei followed. She soon reached the end, but didn't stop. As she did the last step on the stairs, haze appeared behind it, as if the stairs went further in form of mist. Yousei kept following her, as she now walked this new way. After some time of walking he couldn't see her shrine anymore and it looked like they walked above the mountains, in the nightsky, on a road made of mist. "Show me more of my heart and soul?..." While looking at the stars that were now shinning from all directions, he walked on this misty road to depths of his heart.

Yousei followed his Zanpakuto's spirit for whole eternity, he didn't thought this could possibly end. Then he saw the end of road. It ended on ground, right into another road. Yozora landed and after few steps stopped. When Yousei landed behind her, she showed him to follow her again. While they continued, he was observing surroundings. They were in mountains and even if it was night the view was amazing and strange at the same time. Their silence made Yousei feel kinda lonely, but he suppressed it and kept walking after Yozora. Soon she led him into a cave. It was night outside, but cave wasn't dark; there were many different crystals inside and they were all shinning. Some shined brighter; others weaker some shinned colorful and others emitted simple white light. Yousei walked after her deeper into the cavern and finally they entered a huge crystal hall. Yozora came closer to one of crystal stones and placed her hand on it. After few moments something came from the crystal as a mere shadow. It floated in the air for a while, then came down and took appearance of a soul. At first Yousei didn't see its face, whatever it was, he wore like a shinigami and had a Zanpakuto around its waist. Yousei had the same feeling as before in the forest, it felt like he knew this person. When it turned around he understood why he felt like that. Appearance which the shadow took was Yousei's himself; he was looking at his own clone right now. When he realised that, he looked at Yozora with an asking face and she anwered. "This is your weakness. You need to deal with it anyway you can. You may make it strong or simply get rid of it by destroying it. This is your fight, I will not interfere." "But he is my copy, right? Does he have the same abilities?" "Yes." As she said that she quickly moved to enterance of the hall and Yousei was left face to face against his weakness. He didn't rush to make movements or decisions. Shadow's face was calm, maybe a bit serious, he observed Yousei on his side too. After over a minute of thinking, but not finding any answer of what to do, Yousei simply unsheathed his blade and took his stance. Shadow did the same, but not more. Then Yousei shunpo'ed right behind his opponent and swung Yozora to land a slash on Shadow's shoulder. With same speed clone moved to avoid the blade and appeared now behind Yousei. He knew of this possible scenario and used their close distance to throw a kick. But this one failed, when the clone caught his kick and Yousei was sent flying. Next moment shadow was behind him and tried to stab him, but Yousei used 39th Bakudo - Enkosen to block this attack. When they landed, Yousei already understood his opponent won't go easy and released his Zanpakuto. "Terasu Okuchou Hatsu, Yozora!" As before, he placed his hand on the blade and moved it as if cleaning blade from dust; blade's color changed to dark sky with many stars. Yousei knew that his shadow would possibly do the same and before it could do it, he did a horizontal slash to send a night wind wave at his clone. As expected his clone dodged it and that was just what Yousei wanted. He flash stepped behind him prepared to release a kidou. "Bakudo no. 61, Rikujokoro!" Six rods of light crashed into his opponent binding him immobile. Yousei didn't waste time and unleashed another kidou to finish this. "Hado no. 4, Byakurai!" A lightning came from his finger and pierced his opponent's heart. For a moment the clone remained still, then Yousei canceled his binding spell and opponent's body fell on the ground. Yousei looked at Yozora, but she didn't give him any signs. Then he looked back at his own laying body and noticed it turning back into a shadow, and coming back into crystal. As it entered where it came from, a new shadow appeared and turned into two copies of Yousei. This made him a bit worried - is he going to fight two of them... of him? Opponents didn't wait, they released their Zanpakutos. "Terasu Okuchou Hatsu, Yozora!" Before Yousei could do anything, one of his clones charged at him and they crossed blades, next moment another clone was behind Yousei and performed a nice slicing movement. Yousei avoided it by flash stepping last second. He appeared at quite some distance and shot a 31th hadou at his clones stunning them for a while. Then he shunpo'ed at their blind spot and caught one of them with 4th bakudo, hainawa. Next he did was slice second clone with night wind and then finish the bound one. After he was done, he observed as energy returned to crystals and new clones apeared; five of them! This time Yousei didn't wait for them to release their swords, he swiftly charged through them instantly defeating two. After that he flash stepped above the scene; defeated shadows were already coming back to crystals and new ones were appearing. Yousei attacked those, he charged, striked, parried, shunpo'ed, used kidou, blocked, used Yozora's technique and so on. It seamed pointless as once defeated clones fell, new ones would emerge from the crystals and attack him; also their numbers grew rapidly. After 27th defeated clone Yousei had to increase in speed and be more careful, since his opponents were everywhere and have started using kidou up to 65th, it was a shock when a clone appeared behind Yousei and released 63th hadou, Raikoho. After some time of fighting Yousei was cornered by over a hundred of his clones, at that time he already knew that crystals could not be destroyed and the clue is killing the shadows. Because of being at his limit and not seeing an end to this fight, he decided to use his most destructive Yozora's tachnique, Falling Star. Yousei used night wind to clear his way and shunpo'ed to the other side of hall to be at the distance from exposion. When he appeared next to Yozora's figure, he stabbed his blade into the stone ground and released Falling Star at the corner where he just was, blasting nearly half of the hall and killing most of his clones. Yousei thought this would be his last move, but strangelly he still had power to draw his sword out of ground and prepare for any incoming attack. While waiting for the dust to come down and new clones to appear, Yousei looked at Yozora and asked her. "Why do they look weaker than me? I thought you told me they were my copies and have same abilities." When Yozora answered, her voice seamed careless. "Yes, they are you copies. But not the current you." "What you mean?" "When you fought the first one, you two we most on the same ground, but as he was not only your copy, but also your weakness, defeating him you became stronger. And with each defeated clone you kept becoming stronger, as you cleared out one more of your weaknesses." The explanation was strange. But it fit, considering that last attack, which should have sucked Yousei's remaining energy out. When dust came down, no more shadows or clone were there, only crystal hall as it looked like when they entered it. "Yes, you have cleared enough of them and became much stronger. Most likely you will learn my bankai today, as you promised." She turned around and walked out of the hall, through the caverns into the night. Yousei followed her and when they came out of the cave he said. "So there's more... What do I have to do this time?" "You need to forge my Bankai into shape." "Shape?" "Yes. You may seek to fully release me, but you still don't know what you want. You don't even imagine how you would wish your bankai to look." Yousei silently whispered to himself. "Ohh, I see." And she continued. "I've guided you here, to this part of your soul, but alone you wouldn't be able to find your way here. Normally if you get in this realm, you would wander somewhere around the lake, maybe in the forest, or on the isle, but not here in the mountains. So if I left you here alone, your soul would push you back to where you should be. What you'll need to do is remain here for as long as you can. You're done, when you realize how to leave this realm on your own. Use any methods you can think of to remain here until you're done." After this explanation, Yozora's figure started to change and she dissipated like a mist. Yousei was left alone in this calm and silent place…
