Katsumi vs. Kenshi Empty Katsumi vs. Kenshi

It hadn't taken to long to reach the training ground, her feet walking along the soft grass. Katsumi's recent addition to the ranks requested a match, and wanting to witness his power for herself she glad fully accepted. Her only question was whether she should have or not, but there was no turning back now. She gazed around the landscape at the grass and occasional ferns flowing in the wind, a soft whistle came from the trees in the background if only for a second. She took in a deep breath, exhaling her stress that had accumulated from all the paperwork and her new leadership over the village. She thought the Ryota clan affairs was tricky enough, but that plus the recent add on made it even more of a challenge. Luckily for her, she took pleasure in most challenges, this fight being an example.

Fixing the scythe on her back and katana at her side, she crossed her arms and stood in wait of her opponent. She was wearing battle gear rather then the usual Kage uniform, something she used to wear all the time before the switch. The wind continued to blow, the whistle finally subsiding as the wind changed directions. Her mind ran over the files she had on Kenshi Uchiha, remembering as much as she could as she waited.

Kenshi's appearance at the training ground was completely normal. Even though he didn't bother to use the door on the fence, the rustle of the clanking fence was proof that someone was around. A flash appeared about five meters away from the Hokage's position, the perfect distance to start a battle. Kenshi appeared in the spot, in his white leather uniform with both swords clanking around on his back from his landing. The white leather pants complemented the white boots and the leather-looking robe that he wore, which had a collar that went all the way up to his neck, as if the collar were popped up. The leather continued to flow down to his hands, were he wore gloves with the finger tips missing from them for an advantage on his grip. Kenshi grinned at the Hokage in a type of sadistic manner. He didn't mean any harm to her, but he hadn't had a fight in such a long time.

Kenshi's left hand reached around the back of his head slowly as the wind began to signal the onset of a battle between to high ranking ninja. Both of them had earned the title 'Kage', a promise that this mere "spar" between them would by just like the real deal. As the white leather on his hand rubbed against the hilt of the left blade on his back, Kenshi's right hand reached down to a kunai hostler on his right thigh. The two ninja prepared for battle as Kenshi spoke. "Let's skip the formalities and jump right into it.... Katsumi" Kenshi said, purposefully dropping the honorifics from her name. It would probably piss her off, but as long as it got the juices flowing, he was happy. Kenshi jumped back as his right arm dashed forward, slinging two kunai towards her position, with his left hand still gripping the katana on his back.

Katsumi vs. Kenshi Empty Re: Katsumi vs. Kenshi

She acknowledged him with a nod as she connected to his mind, her stature remaining the same as her face stayed calm and emotionless. It was the same features she always gave, especially in battle. As he reached back for his kunai her hand immediately reached into her own pouch. Her hand then snapping forward as five kunai flew in the direction of Kenshi's. She then motioned hand signs, another Katsumi appearing behind her with Mihael drawn and ready. Two of her five kunai then deflected his to the ground as the remaining three continued towards him. Surely he would dodge or deflect, but what he may do Katsumi was already ready for it. She had already finished off a second set of hand signs, waiting for his next motion before continuing further. She was secretly reading his thoughts and plans each passing second, preparing to react accordingly as her other self stood on stand-by; waiting for whatever he would do next.

Katsumi vs. Kenshi Empty Re: Katsumi vs. Kenshi

Kenshi readied his stance as he drew his blade in his left hand. His right leg created a small crater in the ground as he pushed off towards the Hokage with a large grin on his face. As he floored forward with high speed, his image tunneled as it rushed up towards the Hokage, and all of a sudden rushed back as Kenshi appeared in mid air, jumping back. However, there was something suspicious about his movement. His arms were falling down as if he were throwing shuriken towards the Hokage. Kenshi's image disappeared as he landed, still holding the katana in his left hand. His whole movement, the going forward, then coming back, the movement with his hands were strangely mysterious and he wondered if the Hokage would figure it out. Kenshi's right hand pulled backwards, obviously holding something in his hand. Two whissing sounds could be heard as shuriken spun around the Hokage in a tight circle. The wire that they were attached to was lose, and had not tightened itself yet around her. The ability to make it out of the technique looked slim and Kenshi waited for her move.

Predicting the motion before hand, as Kenshi's arm motioned down the clone stabbed Mihael into the ground as Katsumi leaped onto the hilt and swiped her hand towards the shuriken. The wind soon picked them up and deflected them elsewhere, taking away the momentum Kenshi used for the shuriken to surround her. Both her and the clone's images shuddered before disappearing, taking Mihael with them as they moved.

Katsumi's image soon reappeared close in front of Kenshi as her hands pushed forward, sending a strong gust in his direction to blind him and push him back. Another image soon appearing to his back left as blade of a scythe came forward, aimed straight for the back of his neck, ready to slash straight through.

Katsumi vs. Kenshi Empty Re: Katsumi vs. Kenshi

Kenshi realized that there was no way out of the immediate attack because of the use of ninjutsu. Her wind element was nothing that he could risk, knowing it's cutting powers. He could have used his fire ninjutsu to deflect the wind jutsu, but due to the clone behind him he would have to sacrifice his back if he wanted to be able to do that. Recognizing the short time frame he had, Kenshi's body instantly burst into a pile of moving ashes as the sword hit him from behind. The ashes in the air flew over the clone and behind it as the wind ninjutsu pushed them away, at least 10 meters behind the clones back. The dancing ashes began to compile into his body again, forming into his figure in a matter of seconds. With the sword in his left hand, Kenshi made his attack. What was important though, that he was in the line of sight of the Hokage.

Bending his left leg, Kenshi pushed off with his left, creating a small crater in the ground as he did so. The pressure exerted against the ground and snapped as Kenshi's image appeared directly behind the clone in and instant. Kenshi's image exploded into a cloud of shrapnel and dust at and extreme close range behind the clone and the Hokage. A wall of smoke appeared as Kenshi's real attack commenced. He was coming down from mid air, aiming for the Hokage's head with the point of his sword. She would probably be shaken up by the clone, but would she realize that he was attacking from above her? Time would only tell.

Katsumi vs. Kenshi Empty Re: Katsumi vs. Kenshi

Katsumi continued to read his thoughts as they grew more rapid, knowing after she used her jutsu that he had separated into ashes and was about to regroup elsewhere. She knew she wouldn't have much time to conjure up another jutsu to separate the ashes so she continued to read his thoughts, picking up on his next few moves as he planned them.

With the destruction of her clone, she felt a bit frazzled due to the new knowledge attempting to break her concentration. Performing hand signs she glanced towards the dust and moved her hand in an arch fashion. The wind picking up with more of a force, moving with a purpose before sending all the dust, debris, and projectiles coming at her up to the sky where Kenshi appeared next. Not only was he facing his own attacks but was even facing the cutting force of the wind she had sent his way. The attack wasn't a mild force as it used to be. With the add on bonus of chakra, the wind moved at a faster rate and would surely be enough to blow him back and stab the kunai into him. Her mind stayed connected as she withdrew her own Mihael, ready to read he planned to do next.
