Appearance:

Black hair not blond, wears a long hooded robe, usually open in the front. He does not have pointed ears.

Personality:Bloodthirsty and vicious. He is rather reckless when fighting. He has a problem with killing people. (Not to say that he doesnt want to kill people its that he kills too many people.) He shows few emotions and the ones he does show are not friendly emotions. He is a good soldier, follows orders well, although he does not like to.

History:
One stormy night in Kumogakure, in between crashes of thunder and flashes of lightning a newborns cry filled the air. The child being born on this night would soon be named Zetsu and his name would be feared by many. His mother held him close to her chest too keep him warm and protected from the rain which poured onto the street around them. The street was not the ideal place to give birth, his mother had planned to make it to the hospital before she gave birth, but her plan did not work out.

His mother came from a small village about a weeks walk outside of Kumo. She had left her home, heading for Kumo about five days earlier. It is unknown why she intended to come to Kumogakure, even though when her body was discovered an investigation was carried out.

The week long journey to Kumo is not particularly treacherous, but for an 8-month pregnant woman to take the journey alone was unheard of. About 3 days into her trip knew something was wrong. She didnt know who she knew, but she knew that her child who was not supposed to be due for at least another month was coming soon. After she had this feeling, she increased her pace. 8-months pregnant and she pushed her self to exhaustion to get to Kumo's gate just two days after her feeling. She made the journey in just 5 days, which was 2 days quicker than the average.

Walking through the village on the brink of exhaustion, she could feel her child coming. She hoped she could get to the hospital before he came. Pushing herself through the streets she struggled with each step. She was close she knew but there was no way to stop the baby. In the middle of a street in Kumogakure she found herself giving birth.

Having given birth to her child she cuddled him against her chest to keep him warm. The journey had exhausted her and childbirth had pushed her past her limit. To her child she said "I name you..." and before she could name her child she passed into the void. The nameless child laid there against his mothers chest, alone and motherless. He laid there crying as the warmth left his mothers dead body.

The child's death would have been inevitable. However, he was found by a female ninja on her way to the Raikage's office. Her name was Assarishita. She was distraught when she turned the corner and found a child laying there. She immediately picked him up and carried him into the medical office near the Raikage's office.

Surprisingly, the child was given a clean bill of health, no problems at all. His mother was not as lucky, she was pronounced dead on the scene. He picture was handed out around the villages near by, but her identity is still unknown. She was buried in an unmarked grave.

The child was given to a Assarishita. Her mission was now to care for the child and since that was her job she was the one who named him. It did not take her long to think of a name. Based on his life so far, she named him Zetsumei. He was given her last name. He was Zetsumei Senshi. Zetsumei Senshi, the Soldier of death.

Years passed, Zetsumei grew. He decided to go by the name of Zetsu, it was easier to say. His early years were quite like any other child. He was normal on the outside. However he kept part of himself hidden. For as long as he could remember he had this bloodlust. He found himself confronting an urge to kill.

Throughout his childhood he found delight in torturing and killing things. He started with small animals; squirrels, lizards and such. He took delight in their squeals of pain, the delight of the warmth leaving their body. The feeling of the blood slowing from their body into his mouth. Zetsu kept his hunting secret for quite some time. However, one spring day, when zetsu was about 10, a child about his age followed him to his secret place. Zetsu was going to hide his latest kill and the child decided to follow him.

As Zetsu was burying the body, the child came out from behind the tree where he was hiding. "What'cha doing?" he said. Zetsu jumped when he heard the voice. He was so far out in the woods, no one should find him, no one ever came out this far. "What are you doing here ?" Zetsu said, anger causing his voice to be almost a yell. Zetsu knew the kid he was Koigokoro. Koigokoro lived next door to Zetsu and Assarishita. The kid was two nosy for his own good. "I was curious about where you were going, so I followed you." Koigokoro said, "Whats in the hole?" Without waiting for an answer he walked over and looked into the pit. Zetsu watched as the fear showed on Koigokoro's face. The pit was full of dead creatures obviously killed with human hands. Koigokoro screamed, "Your a monster!" and then took of running.

Zetus took of after him. He knew what was going to happen. Koigokoro was going to tell the village about him. He could not let that happen. Zetsu was quickly gain on Koigokoro, he was in better shape than him, but they were getting closer to the village. Zetsu's frear of being discovered quickly over took him. However, in his moment of fear he felt his skin rip. He screamed in pain. Upon hearing his scream Koigokoro stopped and turned to see what was wrong with Zetsu. He looked down at Zetsu's hands. Sharp metal spikes were coming out of his wrists.

Zetsu didn't know what was happening, but he suddenly felt strong. He looked back up at Koigokoro with hate filled eyes. He resumed the chase, Koigokoro frightened with fear, was stumbling his pace much slower than it had been. On instinct Zetsu jerked his hand in Koigokoro's direction. A long metal spike ripped out of his wrist. The spike flew through the air and caught Koigokoro in the shoulder. The momentum of spike ripped straight through Koigokoro's shoulder, causing him to fall to the ground. When he fell the spike was buried into the ground. Koigokoro was on his stomach pinned to the ground unable to move and unable to see Zetsu coming up behind him with an evil grin on his face.

Zetsu stood in-front of Koigokoro and looked upon his helpless prey, before flipping him around to see his face. Koigokoro screamed when Zetsu flipped him over, the sound just egged Zetsu on. Terror lit Koigokoro's face as he screamed more. Zetsu reached down and grabbed Koigokoro's throat and lifted him up. With the sudden shortage of air Koigokoro's screams stopped. Zetsu put his other hand on Koigokoro's chest and began to dig his fingers in. Koigokoro tried to scream but with Zetsu hand blocking his air he couldn't. The only thing he could do was watch and feel as Zetsu dug into his chest and ripped out his heart.

That was Zetsu's first human kill. To him it felt great, like a great pressure was lifted off his back. He dragged Koigokoro's body back to the pit and threw him in. He then stripped of his clothes and threw them in also. Then he proceeded to cover the bodies with dirt. He snuck back into his room through the window. Thank God he lived near the woods. How would he have explained why he was running naked through the village. He bathed and dressed and was quietly reading when Assarishita got home.

Over the next week Zetsu laid off his killing efforts. Koigokoro's mother had instigated a search. He and Assarishita often went with them. Eventually, the Kage order an official search which Assarishita was assigned to. After weeks of not killing because his caretaker was heading a search for him he began to go insane. He needed to kill something.

When sitting down to eat with Assarishita (a rare occurance since the search began) he snapped. She had said something about him looking stressed and he launched himself at her. Being the train Jounin she was she easily subdued him. He confessed of killing her and of his abilities. She took him to the Kage who was intrigued by his both his abilities and his willingness to kill.

He asked Assarishita if she had told anyone about this. Assarishita who was in tears because the child she had taken care of for the past 10 years was a monster, told him no. The Kage then did something that no one suspected. He ordered Assarishita to be bound. His bodyguards did what they were told no questions asked. He then told Zetsu "If you can kill the woman who has taken care of you for 10 years of your life. Who you must have some feelings for, then I have a job for you." He threw a kuni at Zetsu feet awaiting his answer. Zetsu walked over to Assarishita passing up the kuni and put his hands on both of her cheeks. He looked into her eyes and snapped her neck. Turning towards the Kage he said "What is this job you have for me?" The kage smiled and said "First, we need to train you."

Assarishita's and Koigokoro's death were covered up and Zetsu went into training to become the Villages chief assassin. Over the next 3 years he went over intense training. He mastered taijutsu and his bloodline, he discovered that he was able to channel lightning chakra through his bones, which made him all the more deadly.

At the age of 13 he was given the rank of Jounin and assigned to assassination missions. He had other ninja as handlers to guide him, but often they just ended up dead because they got in the way. None of his missions were failed. It was often complained by the surviving handlers that Zetsu was too wild. To better control him, his trainers branded a seal on him. This allowed them or the handlers control his bloodline or track him. Over the next 4 years he went on countless missions and went through countless handlers.

At the age of 17 after 7 years of nothing but following orders he grew bored. He was assigned to assassinate another Kage. During the mission he killed his handler and went to his target telling him of Kumogakure's plan. He then returned to the village saying his job was complete. However, the next day the Kage he was supposed to kill sent out news of the assassination attempt. Zetsu's commanders were furious. This was treason, which the penalty for was death. They all attacked him at once, but despite their numerous abilities he killed them all.

When the last commander died, Zetsu felt his seal glow. He could feel that no one else could control or find him anymore, but he was still stuck with this seal which limited his abilities. He decided to leave the village to find someone who could remove the seal. He left the village in the dead of night; killing the seven people he encountered.

Time Skip
Zetsu joined the Neo-Akatsuki. But not because he wished to follow them. But because he thought they would help him further his own goals. He works with them out of convenience, it is much easier to remain uncaught if paired with others. On a solo journey Zetsu found a man who was able to remove his seal. Giving him full control of his bloodline.

With the complete control of his bloodline, he is tempted to leave the Akatsuki, but he stays for no particular reason. He has went on several missions for the Akatsuki, helping further their goals, but he still feels too controlled. He wishes to roam free, but he enjoys the challenge the Akatsuki presents.

Speciality: Tiajutsu, Element Attuned??/Or chakra manipulations(I am not sure what manipulating the lightning chakra through my bloodline would be.)
