Name: Tenshi Yaminade

Age: 20

Clan: Yaminade

Bloodline: Kyougeki Tougyo

Rank: ANBU

Classification: (soon to be edited in)

Village: Iwagakure

Alignment: Neutral

Appearance: Tenshi Yaminade Flying

Personality: Most of the time, she’s calm, collected, outgoing, and friendly. Despite this, she has no close friends as she tends to keep her life, secrets, and emotions to herself, knowing nothing good would come from letting anyone ever truly know her. Also a trait from childhood, she believes in loyalty and honor till her last breath is drawn and those she favors are under her shadow of protection, though it’s unclear to everyone what it is that causes her to favor anyone if anyone at all. An only child and born loner, she keeps to herself and goes unnoticed more often than not.

History: Her mother a ninja and her father a samurai, Tenshi grew up in a home of warring concepts. Tenshi’s grandparents, both heads of powerful clans, a samurai clan and a ninja clan, had arranged the marriage to bring peace to the two warring lands. Of course, as is wont for such situations, neither loved, respected or even liked the other. Her father, as was tradition taught her all there was to know about her samurai heritage and she held bushido in very high regard, though she didn’t voice that she felt seppuku was a bit irrational. Behind her father’s back, her mother taught her the concepts of the ninja, that to get a mission done by any means necessary was a main component of the shinobi’s belief system. Though viewed dishonorable by the samurai, Tenshi understood the logic of such techniques. The deepest love for both of her parents kept her quiet about the training of the shinobi.

Over the years, Tenshi noticed with joy the stern lines of dislike and hatred fade from the faces of her parents. They smiled at each other, laughed with each other and the constant heated tension which had reigned, barely veiled, throughout her baby and toddler years dissipated. For the first time in a long time, they were a real family and throughout the rest of her childhood, she lived a happy, wholesome life. It was her parents’ circumstance and fate which taught her the real meaning of balance and peace and so, with her parents guiding her, she sought and found her own inner peace and balance.

When the time came for Tenshi to go to school, they both agreed she go to the Iwagakure school for shinobi given that her father had already given her the education of a samurai. Given her guidance, she made friends quickly and learned to play well with others, though unnoticeably of course, she kept a safe mental distance from others as her parents had taught her. Their experience and wisdom was enough for Tenshi to trust their advice and as they said, all went well. Being the exceptional student she was, she graduated Academy at the tender age of ten. Her parents were overjoyed and they, throughout all her trials, failed and accomplished missions, to this day support Tenshi in every way.

Time as Genin: Her team was two friends to whom she’d grown closest during her time in the academy. Watching them and the people around her, she was able to take everything in, learn and adapt quickly in order to defeat any opponent, no matter who it was. Able to keep up with the thirteen year olds, she maintained her status as the leader of the three while the jounin who led them made sure she didn’t bite off more than she could chew as she had a tendency to work as hard and as much as she could. During the D-rank missions, her speed and strength increased dramatically, which was considered so strange their sensei acquired a moment with her parents and asked questions in regard to their lineage. Neither parent would speak of any important abilities which were possible through a bloodline, though it was apparent that there was something they were not telling Tenshi.

During a C-rank mission, they were traveling through the Land of Sand when an unexpected occurrence delayed the team. A rather large group of shinobi from the Kumogakure were also traveling through the desert. Tenshi had felt a strange rise of emotion from her stomach to her throat and, blood pumping, she glanced around and with sharpened eyesight as that of a hawk, she spotted the group of enemy-nin some few miles behind them. She alerted the leader, who knew the band of shinobi were out for blood. He sent the two thirteen year old genin to the village in order to warn the Kazekage, Gaara of the Sand and with Tenshi were prepared to be the distraction so the enemy-nin would not reach the village where many unarmed and untrained civilians lived.

It was in a moment of desperation as they were about to lose, fighting the thirty or so shinobi with her sensei, the strange feeling she’d had before she spotted the enemies rose up in her again, driving her to move faster and strike harder with her katana while maintained her cool demeanor. She was aware of an explosive strength pressing against the ground when her heel met the sand, creating medium sized craters and clouds of dust and that when her dull-bladed katana stroke, it cut clean through flesh, through she made sure it was only deep enough to disarm. Every movement of air, her ears picked up and she reacted accordingly, dodging, swinging, ducking, jumping. During this battle, her eyesight seemed so clear and sharp, enabling her to sustain complete control of her movements. When there were no more targets standing, she stopped, her feet skidding on the sand until she hit her knees and fell the rest of the way face down, shaking, drenched in sweat, and weaker than she’d ever been in her life. She couldn’t even move without feeling a burst of complaints from her muscles.

In the village, she stayed in the hospital for a week. Her parents immediately came to the village and in the privacy of the hospital room, their senses having picked up that no one was around to eavesdrop, explained to her how she was able to move so quickly and strike with such accuracy. Because of her age, the abilities were only B-ranked and would not hold up against greater opponents. They added that it was dangerous to let herself become cocky as using her bloodline limit and technique at the wrong time and failing to accomplish a safe circumstance for herself would result in sure and immediate death for greater opponents would not show mercy. Tenshi understood then the gravity of her situation and took her responsibility very seriously. She knew any slip of the foot or any slip of control would end either her life or the life of her opponent and she did not just yet want spilt blood on her small hands.

Time as Chunin: As a Chunin, she honed her skills, both within and without the bloodline limit with which she was endowed, becoming ever the greater samurai shinobi. It was during this time, she decided to change from carrying a katana to a straight-bladed naginata and carried the daisho at her waist for appearances sakes. Since her rank as a genin, she was never again forced to draw her sword though for her bloodline limit it was the ideal weapon. Using a naginata of course, slowed her movements to a small degree and was slightly awkward for Tenshi due to its length, though it was easier to maintain control of her movements with it. She knew her parents were keeping the details of her bloodline limit to themselves for now and she understood. She was only twelve after all and she knew her parents only had her best interests at heart.

Time as Jounin: Due to her level of skill and abilities, shortly after Tenshi became a jounin at seventeen and led her team of genin well enough on missions which were always quick and successful, she was offered a spot on the ANBU squad as a lone shinobi, without the weight and consideration of three genin to hold her back. After great thought and consideration (having come to like her cute team of genin) and after analyzing her skills, abilities, and mental and physical fortitude, she agreed and from that moment, leaving her team to another sensei, she became a strong ANBU, though she hid her status most of the time and pretended to be jounin while keeping the mask bequeathed to her by the Tsuchikage in a bag she carried at her waist, attached to her belt.

Team History: After becoming Jounin, her team split up and each became teachers of genin and the nine students of theirs became great friends while Tenshi and her two team members kept up contact inconspicuously, though beneath the farce of normality and innocence, no one could guess at any hidden motives the team may or may not have had.

Special Traits: During a meditation, Tenshi began to wonder about the true meaning of balance she had come to accept as a child. Her parents had been complete and utter opposites and yet had come together as yin and yang in perfect balance to create herself, a strong and balanced ninja. She thought, as a perfectly balanced ninja, there were two sides to her, a dominant side and a recessive side which she may not know about. She searched deep within herself, looking past all of her masks, her defense mechanisms, her hardened heart to the very dredges of her soul and found to her surprise another form, an amorphous, shapeless form she somehow understood to be her other side, her balancing personality traits. When she opened her eyes, she realized she’d unlocked a gate to another set of thoughts for there they were, in her head constantly, her thoughts and yet not her thoughts at the same time. Her chakra pulsed within her and she felt a strange, gut-wrenching pain as if something burning cold was shooting up from the bottom of her soul to her chest and there just over her heart, a chakra-controlled seal appeared.
